I am please to announce that plans have now been finalized for the 2011 Racers Reunion.The gathering of those interested in the history of open wheel racing will take place Saturday, September 24th at PCS Productions located in Las Colinas, near hwy 114 & Hwy 161 in north Irving.Bench Racing and Vintage race cars will be on display starting at 4:00 pm. The dinner and presentations with Master of Ceremony, Johnny Rutherford, will beginat 6:00 pm.
Please make plans to join us because this will be a night to remember!
Bill Blaylock will share with us stories about forgotten race tracks. Then we will celebrate the career and life of Bill Jones from San Antonio.Bill has been involved with some type of racing on a regular basis since the early 1950s.
It is a great honor that I announce that at the 2011 Racers Reunion we will have Donald Davidson, the official Historian for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He will be doing a presentation about the 100 years of the Indy 500. Mr. Davidson is a natural storyteller so we will also likely hear stories about such drivers as Jud Larson, Johnny Rutherford, Jimmy McElreath, A.J. Foyt and others.
This will truly be an unforgettable evening of personal stories and tales of the Good ‘ol Days.
