Jimmy had retired and he then decided to run a few races under the assumed name. Then he won a main event at Chico and when the drivers came out to get their trophys Jimmy showed up. The cat was then out of the bag.

I believe Jimmy raced under the name"Craven Morehead" as well.
The older I get, the faster I used to be.

Who can give the driver's name who raced as "Many More" and why he used that name?

Randi Turner, his name was in all the promos. I think Jason Sides has used it a few times.

Jason Sides put the name on the side of his car a few years ago on his own 7s car. Then a few years in 2006, he raced under the name in Medford, OR while driving the Doyle's Harley Davidson Car. In many promos they would say "..come see stars such as Steve Kinser, Joey Saldana, Donny Schatz, and many more..", so Jason decided to include himself in the pre race press.

Yep, it was Luke Warmwater from Hot Springs, Arkansas.
I think he was racing both sprints and Silver Crown cars at that time. Hell, who knows... being from Arkansas, he might even have been in a late model or two... lol.
Now here's the real question... As I recall, the reasoning for the retirement and subsequent alias had something to do with an impending divorce and the associated legal aspects with child custody and asset dispersion, et. al.
Could be wrong, but I think I remember that rumor. Then again, you know about rumors...

I thought the retirement was the result of his hospital visit to see Brad Doty.

I believe it was a less obscure car then that. If i am recalling it correctly, it was a car # with a single digit.
Im sure Grove might know as im sure he likely has video of it.

The first win that I remember was in a midget at Chico. But I'm getting old and memories are getting fuzzy :-)
