Just tweeted that "anyone who thinks double-file restarts are cool, is a idiot, they are ruining racing".
Guess that make me an idiot who will no longer be a fan of the "Madman" and thinks Kerry shouldn't run with the Outlaws if he feels that way.
I don't care if drivers fight, call each other names, rip up on a promotor, sanctioning body or rules...but call me an idiot? Damn

I agree with Kerry....
When do WoO races get exciting? When the leaders catch traffic.
By going from single file restarts to double file, it takes twice as many laps to catch the tail of the field during a feature, thus eliminating the great racing in traffic that the WoO is famous for.
Sure am glad the Nat's are being run on Knoxville rules and by Knoxville officials come August....I saw starts called back during the June show that were great starts and starts that were allowed that were horrible (depended on whether or not the car jumping was a WoO Platinum member or not...)

Agreed!! can you believe a driver has an opinion?!?!?!? And voices it no less!!!!!! One of these days those drivers will learn their place in the world and will keep their opinions to themselves!!!! Opinions are only allowed to be voiced by keyboard jockeys. And the nerve of him calling YOU an IDIOT!!!! He should be deported!!! Such personal attacks are unacceptable..........

Nice to see a driver speak his mind. Whether you agree or not, you gotta like his style. Smitty, I truly doubt Kerry thinks you're personally an idiot. I think he's just making a statement/point.

I like double file restarts. It doesnt take double the amount of time to catch traffic. The cars are back strung out in a matter of a half lap just like before. The fans love it overall and it should stay that way. Not enough passing with the Outlaws as it is.

they are great for Nascar but hard on equipment and cause more restarts on dirt. I agree with Madman.

I see the pros and cons in both. Still not sure which I prefer.

Always been a fan of the Madman. I'm thinking he's still a little snarly that the King sneaked his way past him at the Kings Royal last year.

Yeah I'm surprised we didn't get this tweet sooner. That is an example of why I don't like double file restarts. Gotta love having the race in the bag only to have somebody line up next to you on a restart and pull a dirty move to ruin your night.

I personally like the double file restarts but how many times have we seen the 2nd place car leading entering turn one ? The rule should read that the leader MUST have the lead at the start/finish line on the green restart to give that advantage he earned by being the leader when the yellow came out......just a thought

Or at least having the leader by himself on row one and then double file behind him?

Pros and cons of each...I love the double file restarts. However, it cost Dobmeier (favorite driver) a real chance at a WoO in Princeton because HE picked the wrong line. I wouldn't mind seeing the "delaware restart" where the leader is out front and the second place car picks his line. I like the Madman and respect his opinion. However, I'm sure it's helped him as well. Some nights it will help, some it won't. In Grand Forks they made things interesting. So, I would be an idiot because I like them...but I don't pay the bills on any race team!

Song is by "Green Day". I don't believe Kerry is American, so maybe we can play that song for you.

If the guy in the lead has lapped 2 or 3 cars then the guy in 2nd should have to pass them as well. No gimmicks please, leave the manufacturing of drama to NASCAR.
