Gordan Wooly at 81 Speedway in 1966, the Puis Selenke Parker Oil car in the background with Bill Bookout in the seat. When I was at John Layne's party they said it was a KC car.

The 98 car was built by Charlie Aldrich of Kansas City. Some of it's drivers were Gordon Wolley, Sam Austin, Bob Burns, Jon Backlund. It's last owner was Jim LaRose( who passed away eairler this month) scrapped it out several years ago.

There were several roadsters in the Kansas City area in the 60's. After Greg Weld's success with his they were the rage. John Layne's #81, James Bond's 007, Bob Williams drove a #60 out of Topeka, Charlie Aldrich's #98 ( the best looking of them all), Tom Taylors 6pak2go, Harold Young's #130, Big Al Murie's #11.
