WOW’d at Outlaw Motor Speedway for OCRS Win #2

‘Wide Open Whit’ Gastineau – 2W picked up his second consecutive OCRS feature win at the Outlaw Motor Speedway near Muskogee, Ok, on Friday May 6, 2011.

Whit-2w would have another good night of racing with the OCRS as Whit would win his heat race from the second starting position, putting him in the Trophy Dash. Whit would draw the second starting position for the Trophy Dash, the preferred starting position for the track conditions and would run a smooth and comfortable race and would finish second in the dash, giving him that outside front row starting position for the ‘A’ Feature. Whit would run second in the ‘A’ Feature until the 8th lap when leader, Jamie Passmore jumped the cushion and hit the wall ending his night. Now in the lead Whit would cruise around the bottom leading the final 17 laps and taking the win in his Shell Rapid Lube/ Allen Competition Engines/ Exterior Specialties/ Douglas Performance Carburetion/ Red Rock Racing Fuels/ Goodyear Race Tires/ Eagle Motorsports Chassis - 2W sprint car.

Beau ‘the Show’ Gastineau-51 would not have the same luck. Beau-51 would start on the pole of his heat race, and with a bad start would fall back and would finish 5th leaving him to start the ‘B’ Feature from the 4th spot and then would call it a night after a 10th place finish in the ‘B’ Feature.

Next up for Gastineau Racing is OCRS Race 4, The 3rd Annual Harold Leep, Jr. Memorial Race at Oklahoma Sports Park in Ada, Oklahoma to be held Saturday, May 14, 2011, a track where Whit -2W had won the last sprint car feature contested at that facility.
