In everyone's opinions, who are the next 3 big stars in sprint car racing? It can be in any division(winged, non-wing, midgets, etc.)....My Top 3 are in no particular order....

Brady Bacon- This youngster can drive anything with wheels on it. Whether its be a midget, 360 or 410 winged spring car, or a 410 non-wing car, Brady is going to be one of the fastest drivers on the track. I really look for "The Baconator" to eventually make his way to either a fulltime World of Outlaw ride or maybe even make it to NASCAR. This kid is definitely on the fast track to stardom!!

Kyle Larson- see everything I said about Brady Bacon. Can drive anything that has an engine and be the showstopper. I really look for Larson to drive predominately wingless sprints and eventually will try his hand in asphault racing.

I could pick a handful of young talented drivers for my third pick(Sheldon Haudenschild, Aaron Ott, Cale Conley, Robby Wolfgang, Cody Darrah, etc.) but I really see some big things coming from....

David Gravel- Has already had 2 good years running with the All-Stars and at only 19 years of age the sky is the limit for this kid. Had a very good start to his 2011 season running with the All-Stars and World of Outlaws down in Florida, Mississippi, and Texas, recording 2 Top 5's (Finished 3rd at Ocala and 5th with the WoO at Pike Co. in Ms.) and finishing 11th and 13 respectfully. I also see someone giving this young budding sprint car driver a full time ride, probably in the next couple years, running the World of Outlaws full schedule.

Cale Conley is racing K&N Pro Series, Chad Boat is also racing K&N Pro Series, One comes to mind that you didn't mention Jack Dover.

Well everyone knows they never let me out of Knoxville, so I have a limited scope. But I want to mention Chad Humston. The kid's a natural and has great potential to do big things.

Add Geoff Ensign to the list. If you haven't heard of him, you will!

Danny Holtgraver can sure turn a wheel in Western PA. Won the Lernerville track championship last year in a family owned deal. Has had some decent runs out in Central PA as well. He's going to be a good one for a long time.

Kyle Larson, Brady Bacon, Bryan Clauson. And if they weren't with the WoO I would put Darrah and Wolfe over Larson and Bacon.

Kyle Larson. No active driver better as an up and comer. He can race sprints, winged-sprints, both 410 and 360, and win, midgets and win. Nobody close.

I don't get much further away from home than Knoxville anymore either, but week in and week out, Chad Humston has been one of the most exciting guys on the track the last couple of years there.

I also think Brady Bacon and Jack Dover are the real deal though.

From a 410 standpoint:

Darrah and Larson stand out. Now they just need to prove they can perform well off the porch.

Holtgraver's very underrated simply because he runs Lernerville, but every time he comes to Central PA he's done well.

Gravel is very solid and improved a lot over the last 2 years.

Marks and Ott needs to prove something this year to be even considered with those above.

There is a lot of good young talent and some drivers do have better opportunities with quality rides. That is just the way it is. I do agree with you on Chad Humston. I got to know him some through Mark Burch. Chad is a nice kid and has definitely been impressive at Knoxville. He picked up some wins and with just a little luck on a couple nights (one while leading on the last lap) he may have won the Championship. He has learned how to pass cars and he can run the bottom or at the fence. He is fortunate to be with very experienced and sharp guys in Mark and Marvin. They have a good team. Have not seen the California kid, Larson, but he sure has put up some impressive numbers against the best.

Let the stats do the talking......

Last fall during the Western ASCS swing...New Mexico, Tucson and Vegas...Dover made the podium 4 out of 6 nights, racing against the likes of Tony Stewart, Steve Kinser, Donny Schatz, Joey Saldana, Cody Darrah, Brady Bacon and Kyle Larson.

You beat me to it Carl. My three would be Steve Kinser, Sammy Swindell, and Jac Haudenschild, they are all young, at least, younger than I am. Smile
