napcar and bmods have a lot in common: - too many cautions - too many drivers that can't drive - too many goobers I'm sure people can name more...

Everhard,

I agree!

I know this is a "sprint car" board, but I need to vent my frustrations. The Daytona 500 is a joke. Restrictor plate racing, two car packs, etc., is a big circus.

They just spent 20 million dollars on repaving the track, they should have used that money to shorten or flatten the track. The restrictor plate or other speed limiting devices should not be an option.

The big difference is the bmods or whatever have alway's been that way, and NASCAR created this mess all by themselves. If you ever wanted more proof that the driver has been taken out of the equation for the most part, that 20 year old kid proved it today.

so when an 18 year old in sprints is a sensation, a 20 year old in cup is just along for the ride? that 20 year old is sure looking smarter than a lot of older guys right now. he was in a part time car from a team that hasn't won in 10 years. he did a great job and now will have more pu$$y than you have ever seen!

I know the history of the Wood Brothers and NASCAR, and probably a lot better than you. I was at my first NASCAR (Grand National) race in 63, I was a freshman in high school. Yes, for the most part along for the ride. Smart, yes again, but you can be smart playing a video game.

The last really sensational 18 or 19 year old was Jeff Gordon at about the time he beat Vogler at Winchester.

Why do I get the impression that your not getting any. LOL

Then you know the Woods have been struggling for years to be competitive. we both know that you have to have a car that can run good. We also saw that no matter how good your car is you have to be smart and use your hear to get it to the finish. to degrade the kid is classless.

NASCAR draws huge crowds at the cup races and draws pretty well at the other top tier national series level. sprint cars are having trouble getting enough people in the gate to pay the bills. NASCAR is looking for places to build new tracks. Sprint cars are losing tracks every year. NASCAR has multiple national corporate sponsorship partners. Sprint cars are having problems finding just one.

It might be said that if not for NASCAR, professional racing at the top tier national level might have gone away. Open wheel sure hasn't helped.

NASCAR might not be your favorite form of racing, or mine for that matter, but you sure can't seem to stop talking about it.

P.S. About pu$$y. That's how i got the name JACKHAMMER baby!

I didn't degrade the kid, just the way NASCAR has evolved into a soap opera, and how the end results are OFTEN taken out of the drivers hands. Big crowds doe's not equal good racing sport, just look at formula 1.

Experience tells me that guy's who have to brag about their sexual prowess, have none.

Yes, and yes. How is he looking smarter than a lot of older guys? And maybe he likes dogs. He was lucky today, the Wood bros. were lucky today. Now if he does it again at PHX or the next mile and a half track the Wood's take their car, then we'll start talking skill as apposed to being along for a ride.

As you well know Sean, Phoenix is "a drivers track" and most of the experienced guy's like it for that very reason.

I am wondering what it tells me about someone who has to try to degrade a 20 year old kid.

NASCAR is also having alot of trouble filling those empty seats on alot of occassions.

Old school, I am happy for the Wood Brothers. I am also elated NASCAR's boy Earnhardt didn't finish.

It's pretty bad when a bunch of couch racers can only spend their day hating those who actually race.

My assessment of the race was not about hating, nor was I degrading to the kid. You need to stop being such a drama queen, it's just not fitting for someone who call's himself jackhammer because of his sexual prowess...LOL

Let's see, most Nascar tracks that run the cup series have a capacity of close to 100,000. Quite a few of them have over 150,000 + capacity. Even if they are 3/4 full i think that would more than sell out most other sports venues, and double a lot of them. Yes attendance has been down, but they still pack in a ton of people. We all have our favorite sport or even our favorite class of racing, but for people to just rag on something for no reason sure makes it look like they have envy that their favorite doesn't do as well. The upper levels of NASCAR have given a lot of people in the lower levels of the racing industry, from mechanics and engine builders, to drivers and crew chiefs, the opportunity to make a good living. A lot of those people have had their hands in sprint car racing at one time or another.

You give yourself way too much credit to think i was just talking about you. Still I will cut some slack to someone who only has a fish to brag about.

And who said I was the one who named myself Jackhammer?

From the looks of your fish you are a Masterbaiter.

A 55lb White sea bass is hardly bait, and are you sure they weren't saying hammerhead?

Just for the record, just a few more than A fish.

I am just saying to be able to catch such fine fish, one is surely a master baiter.

Nice pics. Unfortunately the law prevents me posting pics of my pride and joy. LOL.
