I just wanted to say "Congratulations" to Jimmy Boyd on his induction to the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame this June. Jimmy was not only a top notch driver, but he has always been a class act. He and his wife Betty are some of the nicest people you will ever meet at the track.
Jimmy raced against some of the most legendary characters in our sport and was always a front runner.
In Jimmy's case "Nice guys finish first"....Congrats!

It's pretty cool someone from our area is being inducted into the Sprint Car Hall of Fame. Does anyone know any other local guys in the Hall of Fame besides Jimmy Sills? Johnny Anderson?

Patterson, Van Conett, Gurney, Kaeding, Vermeil, Padjen.. Opperman originally was from this area and started his racing career here, although most of his fame came after he left No. Cal. There are also several from the So. Cal area in the HOF. As for Johnny Anderson that remains a mystery why he was never inducted into the HOF.

Thanks reartire, are there any current drivers from NorCal you expect to be inducted in the Hall of Fame?
