See ya'll, those four days make a difference as to when things are to be done officially or not. This and not knowing it is back to southern sport mods makes me wonder why I decided to go ahead and do it one more year.....

Just curious, how many races could be added? I would personally like to see a schedule set in stone due to my employment.

Will the North Schedule be out next week also?
You will get as much as you are willing to give.
Work hard and anything is possible!

Better yet, only one race in oklahoma??? Think i will have to change my plans not run the NCRA schedule. Thought for sure Enid, Clinton, and Elk city would be on it. They had good car counts at the events last year. Maybe SMP will start a e-mod deal.

My understanding they are waiting on Enid to give dates. Maybe it will be like last year and added in June...
Clinton is not running weekly and Elk City doesn't seem to be interested.
Yep, maybe SMP will start one. Then all you sport mod guys can run and if you don't make the feature you can load up without getting paid. Just like the modified guys.

CNA I AGREE I RACED THE WHOLE SCHEDULE LAST YEAR. AND I HAVE TO SAY WITH ALL THE CHANGES AND SWAPPING AROUND AND LAST MIN RACING, LAST YEAR WAS TOUGH. BUT KNOW THEY WANNA RACING 150 MILES AWAY EVERY SCHEDULED RACE AND ON SUNDAYS. NO ONE WHO SCHEDULE'S THE RAC ES MUST WORK ON MONDAYS.

NCRA can keep thier 25 dollar B feature money, I'm kind of more concerned about the $200 in fuel and the 3-4 hour drive. I have a hard time believing that any track or sanctioning body isn't jumping at this sportmod deal. I believe someone else on here summed it up when they said this is a dream class, as it has high car counts, good racing and a self funding low purse.
David, do you have any idea of the payout for the NCRA sportmod races?

Call Chris (918) 625-6200 to get the official, complete payout but might wait until after the Chili Bowl.
And let me add before I am the focus that I do not necessarily agree with things 100% but it is not my series and I have no say so. Chris is doing the best that he can to schedule races, trust me on this. It isn't his fault if promoters won't schedule a show or two. He hates it just as much as I do. Well I take that back because it really bothers me but that is another story.
When promoters won't schedule a show or even say they don't want that many cars what can a person do? All I can say is to call those promoters, even offer to find them sponsorship money, but request that they even schedule one show. Chris and NCRA can only do so much so if you care about racing for decent money then you can always assist.

Don't be suprised to see Salina and West Siloam climbing into those ranks. They are building Sport Mods like crazy around here. I know of at least 15 that are brand new for this year and 10 more on the way between 3 builders. I will build one here this winter as long as it takes off at Salina and West Siloam which it appears it will.

well SMP may not pay B feature money, but by the looks of that schedule tow gas, possible hotel room for an okc sport mod that B better pay a whole lot..
I'm not knockin NCRA, its a great deal, SMP is a great deal also.
This is just my opinion and i may get blasted for it, when the shows are close and 1 day shows its alot easier for blue collar racer to make it.. much like the 2009 NCRA Sooner mod schedule( or whatever name was) , 2 shows at elk, 2 at brill 1 at outlaw all single day events seemed to have alot of regulars. Sometimes growth isn't always good.
good luck to all in 2011
