I'm a fan of the bigger tracks , growing up in Knoxville. I like to see sprints at full song. Throwing sliders at 130 mph is awesome. 3/8 tracks can put on a great show also. Anything smaller doesn't interest me much.

I prefer a 3/8 or 1/4 mile track. There seems to always be action on the track and cars are less likely to distance themselves away from eachother. Cedar Lake Speedway.

the short track / big track is about the same deal as wing / non wing just like the wing vs the cars and racing style is completely different,
my favorite is the big knoxville, the high speed and precise driving required is very thrilling and I know that it would scare me to the point that I would not be able to do it well.
The short tracks are much more forgiving and the drivers can get much more contact with each other which is also very exciting, got to SFCR for pure proof of that.
so guess my favorite is the next one I get too,

The shorter the better. I wanna see who can get through a corner the fastest when you have to lift. Not interested in tracks where the throttle is planted on the floor and not not moved until the checkered. As mentioned, much more action and traffic is more of a factor sooner. Chili Bowl, Trophy Cup, STN, etc. Plus, it hurts much more when you crash on the big tracks. No Thank You!

It's shorter tracks for me. Nothing beats watching the leaders fight their way through traffic when there are cars all over the track. It's not about who has the most ponies under the hood at that point but, who can make the best decision and best moves. Infact, I could care less if the track is heavy or slicked off at that point(no rubber down, though) as long as there's a good battle being put on display.

The next track I'm going to is always my favorite! Grew up at Knoxville, so have a special feeling for the long tracks, but overall racing is usually better at a short track. 3/8 seems to be a good compromise for me, fast and still lots of traffic to work through if there are not too many cautions.
Favorites are Knoxville for sentimental reasons and speed, Cedar Lake for a combination and because it's closest to me, and Superior, WI as an mid length high bank.

really haven't the need to pay good money to watch hotlaps on the 1/2 milers. did 1-55 along with 1-30 on the tour of america this year. skagit and chico i consider my "home tracks" as i attend them both during the yearsince i live in the NW . watching the constant slicin' and dicin' that plays into the smaller bull rings is where it's at imo. also the stratedgy playing out lap to lap and the "constant action" makes me a small track regular. i must admit that the flat out on the 1/2 milers is cool tho!
Ascot was the greatest of all time..
West Capital wasn't half bad either..
Life is good...
