What could have been better than the Knoxville Nationals 50th? Great week. I did see a very good race at Lakeside with the WoO. Very fun track.

The Sammy/Donny show at the Nationals. The electricity in the air was second to none.

The opening weekend @ attica. The winner came from 13th and second place came from 15th. There was non stop action all over the track the entire race.
Honorable mention to the allstar race at fremont in September. Watching Brandon Martin come from 24th and almost win was one for the ages.

The final night of the Gold Crown Nationals. Hagen, Buckwalter, Clausen & Kuhn slicing & dicing for 50 laps. If you were not there you missed a classic.

The best race I attended this year was the Gold Crown Midget Nats. finale. A 50 lap slidejob fest b/t Kuhn, Buckwalter, Clauson and Hagen. Really the best races I saw this year were midget shows, the Sat. A-main at the Bowl, and a Powri featch at Tri-City that Clauson won from the tail after spinning out while leading. Same night that ASCS was there.

Petey, don't forget the Kevin Doty Classic too...Just as many slide jobs as the GCMN, just fewer laps.

I didn't make it to that one Pat but heard it was a good night of racing as well. Gundaker had some good shows at his track this year. Looking forward to next year.

For me it was the March World of Outlaws race at Houston Raceway Park...the most exciting race Ive ever witnessed. Jason Sides and Tim Kaeding battled for almost 20 laps back and forth...wheel to wheel each lap with one trying slide job after slide job every turn. Jason Sides ended up winning but I have never seen 2 drivers battle each other so close every lap!

I was at the Knoxville Nationals and that was a great race and so was the USAC Sprint Week race at Brownstown,IN with Brady Short winning by running off the straightaways and hopping back on right before the corners. Two great races!

If you're looking for a classic old school finish, it had to be Bud Kaeding and Levi Jones in the big cars at the Copper on Dirt... I think most who saw that race would have to agree.
Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.
