Lucas Wolfe? Cody Darrah? Could it be young talent such as Sheldon Haudenschild or Brad Sweet?

I really though Kraig Kinser was the next big thing in sprint car racing but I will be honest with you, I think him trying the NAPCAR thing really hurt his sprint car career because he was never the same after that. Now a good crew chief and crew could do wonders so I hope he boots his sister and bro-in-law to the side and gets serious with his new ride. I would really like to see a kid like Brad Sweet get a chance fulltime with a good ride. He can drive the heck out of both winged and non-winged cars but man he was really impressive down at the Short Track Nationals a coupld weeks ago...just bided his time and let Sam Hafertepe, Jr. make the mistake, taking out both himself and Greg Wilson! Sweet could be tough if given a chance!!

Nowadays the "youngsters" don't stay around long enough. This so called "napcar" keeps enticing them with big money. More power to 'em, I say. So your next big star in the WoO will be someone who's been around awhile and usually ran mid pack, and he'll have a break out season and then somebody will put him in a great car and then...yada yada. BUT! You will have to have Kinser, Swindell, and Schatz retire first cause they are always going to the Hot Shots as long as they are around. imo.

I say young David Gravel. Saw him go at Husets with the all stars and that kid is impressive in what looked to be a family run deal. Then he was ROY at nationals, and that in itself is pretty good also. Good luck you David wherever you career takes you....hopefully see you at a dirt track this summer.

Saw David at Knoxville early in the season and he gave Mark Dobmeier a run for his money. I believe it was his first time at the track. Very impressive run then and at the Nationals.

Wolfe has been out there for awhile... and it isn't happening. Getting better, improving... but calling him the next big deal seems like a stretch.

Sweet is Nascar-bound. Yes, he's been good whatever he's put behind the wheel of but he has his sights elsewhere. The $$$ makes me say... I would, too.

I like Sam Hafertepe... don't know. They've been knocking on the door awhile. Was really glad to see they had Guy wrenching for awhile... hopefully he still is. Sam needs to drive and have a good wrench. They'd be alright.

Darrah is the most no-brainer of the group IMHO. Not sure about his success outside of Central PA so far.. but he appears quite legit. It will be nice to see him out on the road next year.

If he had a full-time WoO ride... it would be hard to deny Tim Kaeding. He takes the "win it or wear it" attitude a lot for a points racer... but if you're not running for points and owner is cool with it... it works. He's looking for a ride so you be the judge there. We sure see him in a lot of victory lanes... he would be awfully hard to pass over if your seat was vacant. To me he is the most "ready to be in the top 5 in pts" guy of the list so far. Not a new guy... but hardly a guy with 10 full years of WoO pts racing.

It's been about 20 years since Stevie Smith came out of PA to win with the big dogs and sadly nobody from PA has made a mark since although the G-Man was getting there. I've always said that with the big 3 winning so many of the races locally for all those years it hurt all the up and comers. Dewease, Rahmer and Kreitz and then replaced by Hodnett owned about everything back there for years and during that time when they hit the jackpot as locals nobody got to move up the ranks even though a few tried, unsuccessfully. Cody always seems fast and qualifying sure helps with the big dogs so that will always help, here's hoping, it's about time I got off the poor Posse fan and their sad story nationally. Take It Easy....

I dont know about WoO stars but what about young drivers like Brady Bacon and Brad Loyet?

Sounds like Loyet will be getting into winged racing pretty big in 2011. Bacon has looked great this

year in a winged 360 after being mostly a non wing racer in the past and having success both ways.

Brian Brown and Brian Monteith gotta be in their mid 30s for sure. Think they're looking for the next big 'young' talent. I do think Brian Brown could win some WoO races if he had a decent FT ride. Brad Sweet would be my choice too, but he is Napscar bound in the near future. Did well in the trucks a couple times before getting caught up in somebody else's wreck. The Napscar announcers actually bragged up this open wheel sprint guy.

1st of all, You put TK in a KKR car and you WILL see more A main wins than anyone else, probably struggle to finish top 5 in points for the year though. He is becoming more controlled with age, and junking less gear (just remember how much Paul McMahon junked when he was younger). The old saying goes you can make a quick driver safer and smoother but you can't teach real raw speed and instinct.

David Gravel- is definitely someone to watch out for. Already quick and is able to move around the track to find a line when he needs too.

Cale Conley- I know the kid has $$$ and usually hate these little rich kids playing sprintcar driver, but this guy can get around pretty dam good

Brandon Wimmer- Given the top gear and the chance to drive someones car who isn't on a shoestring budget for a change, i'm sure there would be a few heads get turned
