As a big fan of the IRA Sprints Series I would like to make a few suggustion to help improve an all ready great series.
1. $3,000 to win $500 to start--I would pay $25.00 to see this great group of racers.
2. Take the lap cars out right away in the feature--for safety and better racing.
3. Maybe a fast dash.
4. Any other ideas on the IRA

Here are my thoughts.
1.A bigger payout would be nice but where would the $ come from? Most tracks are charging enough to get fans in. Charge more and some will not go. There is a fine line there in this economy.
2. The lappers as you call them fill the field and have every rite to be out there. They could still move up in the later part of the race which would get them more money.
That is why the car counts are always good. That is why they are so successful.
3. A dash is silly. A waste of fuel and rubber. A redraw works fine and usually creates better racing.
4. Ideas? I am sure other have ideas.. share them..

make sure you don't lose Balog and Reinke. get Goedon a quality ride. don't let 360's run. run more non-Saturdays so you get more travelers. have less restarts. usually the restart is worse and then they seem to always crash.
the dash idea is a great idea.

Less races = more money better quality show!!!
Create something special, charge more to get in, pay the racers more.
Dash would be great!
Take the lap cars out would be great! = no more stupid dog krap.
Hot laps at 6, qualifyng 6:30, racing to follow, out of here by 10pm. EVERY RACE PERIOD!hmm the kids would probably stay awake and we would bring them back a 2nd time.
If I wanted to see a stock car race that is exactly what I would go see!
Track preperation should be done prior to hot laps!!!

Hey gunner your video's are great really great as a matter of fact.
IRA needs a tire rule so a dash would not be a waste of rubber and I would be willing to bet one grand that the numerous hot laps sessions at Wilmot each show wasted more fuel than would be used in one entire year of dash races.

As far as lappers go's he means put them to the back, not out of the race.
As far as paying more for a ticket, pay what ever they need, get over it!
These guy's need to make some money!!
Go to a movie and see what it cost you.
Ask Cedar Lake how much money they made at the J.R. Memorial.
All sprint show, and awesome crowd!
If they would of paid 5,000.00 to win there would of E-Zaly been 10 more car's(410's)

I think the IRA has good format with a strong car counts in Eastern WI. There is no need for a Dash IMO. Maybe they need to look at cutting the schedule down a bit and keeping it focused in WI to give more incentive for guys to run the whole deal.
I did see they will be at 141 Speedway 3 times in 2011.
http://www.141speedway.com/ - The Bumper To Bumper IRA Outlaw sprints will make three appearances at the high banked, third mile clay oval on Sunday, May 29, Sunday July 3 and Sunday, September 4. Grand National sportsman will run with the sprints on those dates. “We won’t race the Saturdays prior to the IRA dates,” said Conard. “We’ve also got some special events planned on Wednesday nights as well and we’re working on a big money late model show as well. We’re more driven than ever to make 141 Speedway the best place for the fans and drivers alike.”
Can't really blame the 02 if they want to run Knoxville weekly at $600 to start and most nights they barely had a full field why not give it a try.

The format worked in the past when there was more cars, now it is time for a change.
Good to see 3 races at 141 next year. Really enjoyed it this year, not many cautions, and outta there at a decent time.
The 02 has run Knoxville in years past with some success, so it does not suprise me. They also missed a IRA show after the national's this year to run Knoxville weekly.

I think double file restarts would be great, in my opinion the field is just stretched out too far on single file restarts. I think it's great that 141 switched over to dirt last year, but I think they need to do something different with turns three and four. They just seem a little too tight, the few times I've been there it seemed like all the divisions were having issues.

If the IRA's payout was better maybe they could keep the cars they have and add some more regulars that would travel with them. Plus pick-up more travelers. I for one would pay more money to see an IRA show if it meant the drivers were going to get paid more.

I for one agree.
What is the current payout and are there yearly increases?

Double file restarts is a most I'm not sure if they could do much more about bigger payout unless they can get better sponsors, and I would coordinate and have more races with the MSA 360 and the Badger Midgets most Ira fans will pay a little more to watch them all run together.
Dirt is for racing, asphalt is for the parking lot.

Pay more for a ticket, whatever they need? You are nuts. Wife got a job finally after 16 months, and I drive construction, get the point? I don't want to spend, what I barely have, to see pit(back gate) filler crap, and get on the road home by midnight, for my money...I'd rather pay 20 bucks to see just sprints, and minis, then 15 bucks to see sprints, minis, mods, fearless 4's, (whatever the hell they are) and stocks......I'm just sayin' Be home by 11 latest
These guys need to make some money...Yeah, understandable, but if you rape us at the gate, they are not going to make any money......Get my point?
I don't go to movies.....
Now we are talkin'ALL SPRINT CAR SHOW, 410's, 360's, Mini's....whatever it takes...NO MODS, bunch of hick, yellow causin idiots......would be a great crowd, not filled with familys of idiots......
5,000.00 to win??? Never happen these days.....
Double file restarts, yes, I am for that all the way..........

Most IRA features are $2200-$2500 to win and $250 to start. They do have several specials throughout the year that pay more to win and start.

As far as regulars running with the IRA I don't know how much more support you guys are looking for. 18 drivers ran more than 75% of the shows and 7 ran 100% of the shows according to the points list on the IRA website. To me that is pretty good support.

I know its only rumors but heard that some others may be thinking of running MSA because of cost and to stay closer to home, but with the costs of everything can you blame them??

I see that only 2 of the top 5 are 100%
3rd 4th and 5th in points are not 100%
These 3 guy's must be pretty good to be in the top 5 and not run 100%
6th thru 10th are 100%
