After finishing ahead of Decker in the first feature, Buntin opened up a 80 point lead over Decker. Decker would win his heat from his fifth starting position. Buntin would start on the poll for his heat race but after a couple of laps, his motor blew causing him to finish tenth (last in his heat race). At least crew members from five sport mod teams (mainly Kevin Dickson and crew) along with help from drivers in other divisions competing helped push Dustin too his pit area and in no less than 30 minutes put in a new powerplant...After the points were tabulated from the heat races, Dustins lead was down to 35 points heading to the feature finale....When the cars were pushed off for the feature, radiator problems for Buntin arose causing him a DNF with his only hope was for Decker to finish worse than 18th. Buntin would win RoY.

Reason as to the tidbits at the top is because I have to be at work at 4 AM and I am not sure if I can get the stories done before I am completely wore out. Thus, your brief tidbits from above.....

Congrats team Buntin you gave them one hell of a fight. Hey Mark that's not nice calling Dusty a little guy. I know some of us are vertically challenged but we don't like being called little guys. Lol.

LOL Mark I agree with you we were pulling for Dusty also. He is one of us the do it your selfers. Build your own chassis, engines, and what ever else you need in the garage behind the house. Some of us race all year on a budget less than some of our competitors spend on a single engine. Nice job Dusty

Great job to Todd Decker and his crew for coming prepared for the two day war.

Todd did what he had to do in a star studded field and that was finish consistently and to consistently finish.

All the guys in this class are very competitive for the top 20 spots and everyone of them should be proud of being part of the fastest growing class in America.

Travis Johnson is a talented driver and his crew make sure his car matches up to him.

There are many more who did well and we at Enid Speedway thank those of you who came to Enid.

Seeya next year,

Ed
