MLRA/NCRA, ASCS & SLMR will follow Series rules and qualifying procedures.
BASIC PROCEDURES & QUALIFYING FOR ALL OTHER CLASSES.
1) No NASCAR or IMCA license is required for this event.
2) I-80 Speedway Rules and IMCA Type Rules will be used and can be found on www.i-80speedway.com under team info/rules.
3) Restarts: Single file restarts for all races.
4) On restarts, lapped cars will be left in the running order until the last 5 laps of the A feature at which time they will be placed to the rear of the field.
5) All purses are guaranteed for a 2 or 3 day event depending on class. Purses and events will be altered in case we have to resort to a 1 or 2 day event.
6) Any person racing in 2 or more classes will be required to pay each respective entry fee plus $60 for each additional class for full pay. Pit pass must be purchased for each day. (example: 2 classes = 2 entries + $60 plus pit pass for each day)
7) Any person racing on Sunday only will be required to pay the respective entry fee plus $60 for full pay plus pit pass.
8) All A features are considered a 22 car starting field.
9) If there are 31 or more cars in a class, 24 will start the A feature. If there are 51 or more cars in a class, 26 cars will start the A feature
10) Draw: All cars will draw for heat race position. Heat races will be 8 or 10 laps.
Qualifying for Grand National/Crate Late Models
1) Passing points: The I-80 Speedway passing point system will be utilized (1.76 pts per car + pos. points) in the heat races with the top 18 cars in total passing points advancing to the A feature with the a redraw 4,6,8,10 in passing points inverted.
2) All cars that fail to qualify for the A feature on the first night will be placed in one or more Last Chance races unless there are 22 or less cars signing in for day 2. If 22 cars or less, they will be lined up by their first night passing points with any new cars added to the rear of the field as they sign in.
Qualifying for Modified, Pro Am/Stock Car, B Mod, Sport Compact and Hobby Stocks
1) Friday Qualify – Top 16 inside row 8 cars A & B Features, from highest to anyone tied with 8th place in passing points will run a 8-10 lap dash with top 8 finishing inside row of A Feature and next 8 cars go to inside row of B Feature on Sunday.
2) Saturday Qualify – Same procedure for outside row
3) Sunday will consist of 1 or more last chance races taking top 6 to B Feature
4) If you qualify on Saturday you loose qualified position from Friday and 17-18 etc. in passing points will advance forward one position.
5) 1 entry fee will give you the opportunity to qualify both nights. But are required to purchase pit pass each night of racing.
• This allows anyone with prior commitments or an option to race another special Friday or Saturday Night and to still have a chance to Win the Cornhusker Classic Championship in your class.
• FREE Camping all weekend – showers will be available on south end of the Checkered Flag
• Checkered Flag will be open Friday and Saturday Nights till 1am
