Just got a message from a friend in California telling me that Terry Hannagan, Randy's brother and the THR on the car, has passed away, I have no details at this time....There's also a few comments from friends on his Facebook page, although none confirm Terry's passing.....

Please keep Randy in your thoughts and prayers...it's been a rough 18 months for Randy, as his mother, then his father, and now his brother have all passed.

Godspeed, Terry...and condolences to Randy, his family and friends...........

Very sad news. Terry was such a nice guy and supported Randy from the start. My thoughts and prayers are with you Randy, and with your family.

So sorry to hear this.

Been a very thought fight for Terry since his work-related injury.

Hang in there Randy. Thinking about you and your family.

i am not sure i would call getting shot at a convenience store a work related injury, even if he was on the clock at the time. still to randy and vic and their families as well as cathy and her family, sorry to hear this. terry could have been gone 20 years ago, but was strong enough to hang on. i hope everyone who had a chance to meet terry, no matter if it was before or after he was injured, will hold those times in their memories.

then why did you bring it up to begin with. terry was an innocent person that did nothing wrong and was taken down and almost killed by scum. i take it as an offence to refer to what happened to terry as being described as mearly a work related injury. if you can't call it what it was, attempted murder, then don't bring it up at all. thank goodness he had margie and victoria and others who were able to make his years as comfortable and pleasant as possible. so sorry that terry is gone, but glad for the time he had. now i am trying to pay my repects here for a friend and his family. so don't make me go off on you any more!

Buzz, you said nothing wrong only the raw truth.Yes Terry was on the job, however you were correct.Thugs took into there own hands to choose Terrys fate in life.By the way those persons if they even deserve to be called a person are now going to be charged with murder from what I hear from my sources, because his death was directly related to the shooting or caused by it.However lets not focus on that and just pray for all his loved ones at this time ,im one of them, this is not the time for anyone to start acting like children and bickering back and forth. Whomever the other person you clashed with on here is and yourself, thank you for your concerns and well wishes and for Terrys sake lets just keep the piece, thats what he liked.Terry wasnt one for bickering and fighting.Thank you all.

My deepest sympathy to Randy and the Hannigan family. You have been through a lot recently. RIP Terry and keep those wheels flying Randy. I always loved to interview you and every time we passed where ever it was you waved or said Hi. I appreciate your hospitality and hope to see you somewhere down the road.

Terry Hannigan was the THR on Randy's hoods. He was one of the most dedicated supporters of sprint car racing for the last 20 years. Very few car owners can match his longevity in the sport. His contributions to the sport will be sorely missed.
