Just listened to the KKOJ racing report - can't believe that there is only 9 - 360s and 13 305s. I have heard rumors ranging because of the track conditions, hard on the equipment, wrecking parts on the cars, to a decrease in the purse monies. Sure wish someone had an answer and a remedy to help increase the count. University of Okoboji nights have yielded nice car counts in the past - so why is this weekend so far different. Just concerned - thanks!!

I heard the report on the radio too. All I have to say is OUCH! What happened there? 40 360's for the Spring Natl's. Then 14, 7 and now only 9 for a JSTS race? Something fishy going on there...
I talked to someone who is in Fairmont tonight and they said they talked to a few people who were in Jackson and left to go to Fairmont after they saw the low number of sprints. Didnt sound like a whole lot of people in the stands in Jackson either. Again this is 2nd hand info..so who knows.
Maybe modifieds as your #1 class is the way to go?....

Not sure what is going on either but this car count deal will definitely bring Jackson down. I think Jon needs to contact all the drivers from all the classes from the past and see why they are no longer willing to tow to Jackson for the regular Saturday night show let alone a 2 day Friday-Saturday night show. I know I will not come back to Jackson for this pathetic weekly car count!

Hartford had a 410 show hurt the number of cars. Knoxville WoO show Fairmont and Rock Rapids also running probably hurt the stands. Also heard that graduation was going on in Jackson.

Russel is correct. Too many different activities going on this weekend. Hopefully the sprint counts will go up in the next couple weeks. The track friday night at Jackson would have been perfect for racing all 6 classes. I give the Jackson Track Crew credit for making an effort to fix the problem.
