JD came from people that could squeeze the good out of every last dollar. One of the several ways they would make a living, was to feed and raise hogs for slaughter. At one time they had an agreement with the Lawton OK public schools to pick up leftover cafeteria food. This hog operation provided the money to buy his first race car. I can testify, JD was raised 'old school', from humble beginnings, and has obviously never wished to forget where he came from.
I helped feed their hogs a few times, and it is unreal how much silverware kids throw away!lol

Brian is correct, bought my first 100" car out of extra money earned with our Hog operation and just thought if Alex Morales can have the famed "Tamale Wagon" then J.D. could have the "Hog Wagon" and it just stuck ever since and Sunday night is what it is all about , just wished the rain/storms would have held off a bit longer as it made for a 3 hr. stint at the car wash yesterday but just glad to have gotten the win and it was a really good race as well and Joe Wood Jr. is just flat out fun to watch wheel a car around a circle of dirt. Sure makes all those long nights in the shop worth it. J.D.
