When a Hutchinson driver, Henry Ellington won, why wouldn't it be the most popular win with a sell-out crowd. As seen in a photo on this page http://winfield.50megs.com/Hutch_Nationals/Fair/31Jul1966.htm the crowd is still surrounding Henry and the stands are empting out. It was a sell-out. I was not there and as far as I know it was the only one I missed from the beginning to 1981. I still blame my late aunt Twila for that.
I have got to put a lock-out on Bob's site, it is just unbelievable. You might think this over-kill about Bob's site. I'm really not much on surfing the net so really Bob's site about the Kansas State Fair is all new to me. All those photos by Lyndon Greaney just brings back all the memories that are not even memories until you see photos like Lyndon's has shared for us.
