How did you get the sun to set in the east?

Ernie emailed me the photo and told me it was taken the morning of the Hall of Fame weekend in 2007.

Ah, the joys of the internet, where your property becomes public property just becasue someone says so..........

It was taken at about 2 in the morning in May during the season at a regular World of Outlaw showing, after a long Dingus stint. The orange glow is from the HiVee parking lot lights across the street. I have the unedited photo, just in case there is any doubt.

Seems the "bumpster" is being called on this one.

Bump, you aren't on "speed" R U ???

Whoever took it....very nice photo!

I could park the little m/h right there and be very content.

& yes Chuck, it really is getting ridiculous. I sent the pic to the "Discover Knoxville website (under Knoxville Raceway), since they sent an email requesting it. (a visual to prove who's pic it ,,,actually is).

I did not realize the HyVee lights were strong enough to light up the underneath of the clouds, the top of the cell phone tower or the western edge of the grandstands. Can you post your photo so we can compare?

It is in the Oxman calendar (last year's I believe) and was MANY people's favorite. Of course you have to pay for that so........

Obviously your picture taking knowledge is limited. Its called a shutter delay shot. You set the shutter to be open for a set amount of time, & take the shot. It soaks in the available light for as long as the shutter is open. I cant believe this guy is challenging me on this. Ill have the photo up, along with a few others (from that night), so we can put this to bed./Users/franknsigns88/Desktop/da shot 24:36 .jpg/Users/franknsigns88/Desktop/DSC00757.jpg/Users/franknsigns88/Desktop/DSC00779.jpg/Users/franknsigns88/Desktop/DSC00767.jpg

Randy, click on the "image" in the top row of icons in reply window(third from the right). It will open a browser window that you then use to select the appropriate picture. After a few machinations, you'll be able to upload any pic that you have.....

Randy at the Dingus, uh huh, now that makes sense! This guy could do about anything he wanted, still the best T-Shirt designer in the business in my opinion and might be the best painter of sprint cars on the Left Coast. His biggest claim to fame, he once was MY designated driver NOT the reverse, lol. Take It Easy....

I seen Randy's photo on the Discover Knoxville website just now.

I apologize to anyone who might be offended, Ernie posted the picture on another website and I asked him for a copy. He sent it with an explanation that he into Knoxville very early for the HoF weekend in June of 2007. I thought it was a very cool photo and wanted to share with (what I thought was) proper credit being given. After re-reading Ernie's email, I guess he never did come right out and say who took the photo, I just assumed from the rest of the sentence that he did. (It still looks like sunrise to me...you sure it was 2 am after the Dingus and not 5 am after the Dingus? )

Randy, I assumed from your first post on the subject that you were the typical internet A-hole trying to stir up trouble. (lord knows there are enough of them on here) I apologize if you are not. Someone else that read this thread emailed me and asked for a copy of the picture. I will let them contact you to distribute.

I dont get on here much for the same reason Speedbump. No worries. I thought about you the same as you were, toward me about internet a,, holes, so I figured Id better show some proof. It looks like a sunrise because what looks like clouds in the lower left of the shot is actually lens glare from the HiVee lights. I tried to position myself to cut most of that out, but hell, it was 2 a.m., & I was still pretty tuned up from my Dingus visit. I went there 4 times that year & took a different session of that style of shot each time I was there.
