Tim just posted on his FB he's leaving the Outlaws tour and going back to run Califonia. Kinda sounds like a step backwards for him. We all know he has the speed and the talent (not always the patience) to run up the front, and he couldn't be far away from cracking a win....

That's a shame. We all know he can get the job done. Remember when he ran as a teammate to the King? Roth has givien him the equipment to run up front., he just had some bad luck so far this season. I was really looking forward to seeing him race this weekend at Williams Grove.

Didn't they do the same thing last year? In fact, I think 3 or 4 guys including McCarl dropped off the tour right before they got to PA.

For whatever reason if you look back over the last twenty years, teams either coming to or leaving the WoO races at Williams Grove in May seem to either drop off the trail, change drivers or dispand. I guess the owners use this point of the season to determine their course of action for the rest of the year.

I spoke with him at length last week and they were going to run more of an "Outlaws' type tour. Heading back there still surprises me as he had expressed interest in going topless as well as hitting weekly shows as well. It sure would be nice for you fans if he stuck around the mid-west for a while, few are better behind the steering wheel and even fewer are as entertaining. Take It Easy...

I think dennis roth let him come out on the outlaw tour and do 20 or so races. If they were in the top 7 they could stay out.

I thought Tim would be a top 3 car by now. Roth can't seem to think outside the box enough to get something going. A real wrench is needed at the 83 trailer.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

The Roth 83 team really has not been on the top of their game since the Dude ran. Everyone knows TK is a good driver. The team has switched drivers, chassis, engines etc over the years but it is obvious something is still missing from the team..

It's tough to be a top 3 car when you wreck equipment like TK has early on this season. I'm not bashing on TK, I like him as a driver.
Wasn't Tim reunited with Mike Kool this year? The same duo that dominated on the NST tour. They have had plenty of good crew members. Tod Ventura is not bad by any means and they had Sonny earlier in the year.
Ya need some luck racing too and Tim hasn't seen alot of that this year yet.

There was something missing from that team that they needed and didn't have or something, it almost seemed like they were bad luck because they could never get anything going . They could run good all night but as soon as the main would come around it would be a struggle they would more times then not drop back right as soon as the green dropped . But sounds like there going back to running that true outlaws schedule they ran last year he and the crew our still going to be going to all the big shows so they'll still be out having fun . Maybe regroup in the off season and give it another shot next year who knows... but I'm pumped to watch him run this weekend in Tulare at the thunderbowl for the Pombo/Sargent classic... This also means he'll be around to try and defend his trophy cup title he won from last year ! know there's alot of California fans that are cracking a smile knowing he'll be making stops in California to run the more premier events..

Nothing against mike cool but it is alot easier being good when steve and scott are telling you what to do. TK needs a crew chief plain and simple. The driver and equipment are there its not hard to figure what is missing.

If i am not wrong. This was a test. Tk said at the start of the season they were testing things so they could go full time next year. If they cannot get a good wrench this may just be a preview for what may happened this season.

the 83 roth car or the 20 car has done anything since Lasoski left. they had guy forbrook. ( who is one of the best wrenches around). and still didnt do anything. so i think its something else. .... Lasoski,s record speaks for itself. The 6 car has more wins with him than anyone else. So the driver has alot to do with it. Ive worked with both. just my two cents. it dont mean much.....
