I am working on a custom sprint car model. I am having trouble with a few sponser graphics. Some of the companies are no longer around and there is little online to find. If anyone has any of these 80s era sponsers could you send it to me...a good scanned image or decent quality graphic is all I need. They are tough so I am challeging you all on the forum....:-) You guys are good I am counting on you.
JFZ Disc brakes
Cam Dynamics
Copenhagen Skoal Shootout
Timex Speedtrack
Feel-Pro
Barnes Systems Inc
Don Zig Magnetos (older style logo)
Stewart ?
Brownfield Cast Bullet Heads
Kryptonite Crankshafts
MPO Racing products
These are some trouble ones....I have some of the main ones and some harder but going all out on this one. I will give you a hint.....The car was yellow....its main sponser was Duzmor and the driver is a legend. "Paying respects to a hall of famer" Thanks for your help.

Working on an old school Gil Sonner No. 47? It was yellow for a bit wasn't it?
Oh, What Copehagen Skoal shoot out decal ya need?
Got the smaller globe National Challenge decal, the masked skoal bandit one, and the simple back and white square. I might have some duplicates to spare if ya really, really need them and if ya say "Pretty Please."

Ah man, bja! Do you have access to any older racing (race track) programs, and old "Sprint Car Pictorial", older Area Auto Racing News? Actaully a good bet would be 80's Open Wheel magazine. I KNOW I could help you out, but all my vintage goodies are safely tucked away... WAY away... and the worst part is, I think my scanner finally took a shit last week. Are you handpainting this car? Is this what you seek reference for? Actually, I think you should really consider nodust's suggestion above. Go to Google Images, and enter a drivers name for the time / era for which you inquire. Their car images will likely show, and the decals from that time should be visible on such photos. Now, I GOTTA ask... about the "5150" thing... are you a Van Halen fan, criminally insane, otherwise, or all of the above? (just for shits-n-giggles... just curious)

Honestly, I tried the internet image searching route, I found some images, but alot of those are obscure now. Not to mention, some of the images I found online were very low grade images. The car raced from the late eighties. I have to say thanks who tried to help and to Michael that would be awesome of you. Pretty Please :-). It is the square one in the picture. Anyway here is the car getting model treatment. Gary Stanton built....he is one of the coolest guys in racing....and the man Doug Wolfgang!! You can see him in the picture I took...thought I could share a great shot of a killer car. I will have to do some serious searching because at the moment I am far from the homestretch on this one. It is going to be awesome when finally built. Hope that helps.

as for the 5150 thing.....yes the love of van halen is there.....I just wish the band was still there....I hate seeing them in the state they are now. What happened to the brotherhood, the fun, the great live shows and most importantly the music that would just blow you way no matter how many times you listened to it. At this time it feels more like 5150RIP. Miss the way it used to be.....

In relation to the 5150 thing, maybe we should start a 'redhead' thread? Count me in.

What scale is the model you are building, I know I have a couple decal sets from the old Monogram models , Kinser's Coors Light car and Sammy's Challenger car, that I didn't use all of the sponsor logos from... Might take me a few days to dig 'em out!!!
Fenders are like vacuums... they both suck.

I mainly do 1/24 but I have a 1/18 GMP diecast that I never used and thought about doing one for my dad as a Fathers day present. He loved Wolfgang too, one of his favorite drivers...he used to be friends with Gary Stanton so of course there was also special love for the car. Dad actually helped as a pit crew guy at Garys invite at Ascot one year when Brad Doty was still racing it. I still remember dad running with the gas can and filling the tail. As a kid, that was seriously awesome...my dad was cool....and still is a very cool memory. Thanks for checking on the old sheets.....it just surprises me that this stuff cannot be found. I had some decals that Ronnie Shuman gave me a long time ago...a bunch of sprint stickers....still have some 80s era....dad stole some for his racing garage wall....Hey NOT FAIR :-) I was just hoping someone out there still had some of the old decals floating around so I could possibly put together a brand new sheet especially since I possibly want to do the bigger size car. So thanks....

BJA - Saw Van Halen back in 78 or 79 (Running with the Devil tour) with Journey, Atlantic Rythem Section & the Doobies (does this give my age away!) Saw em again in the late 80s, early 90s with Sammy on the OU812 tour I believe. Both times were excellent concerts and I wish they could regroup as well.
Other favs were Def Lepard (twice, once with the drummer with both arms and once going one armed), Elton John (twice & no I'm not fag, it's a 70's thing) and George Strait. All of those were top notch concerts.
Concerts are a thing of the past for me now although I would like to see the "Possum" George Jones at Old Threashers this year and maybe someday the Eagles.

Damn... to see VH in '79 must've been awesome. I was only 8 years old then... (now I'm nine or something)! Heared recently that Eddie checked himself into rehab... (again, I guess).
