I want to know were are promoter was. Longpine was no were to be found! The best part of the meeting was we can claim sport mod motors this year. Travis count that motor gone and see what you can do with this OLD 305! LOVE the claim part. The funnest part of the whole night was watching the ex promoter Lonnie's face every time he got shot down by Kip! Looked like he was going to cry. Great job Kip we got faith in you doing the right things at the track. Sorry Lonnie for the demotion you got be sure and keep them floors clean!

More imortantly, are they gonna "stick" to their rules? Listen, I like everyone over there. I just didn't care for the old "Promoter" and his inability to promote a track. Here's my opinion and thats all it is: You CAN NOT race at a track that you own, lease, promote, work, or tech at. Why in the f*ck is that so hard for people to understand. I'm not criticising anyone at Enid! But all of us, as racers know what its like to be behind the wheel and the emotion it brings out. It's a conflict of interest and shouldn't be done. I hope no one takes this and blows it out of proportion and makes this a

90 page bitch session! Cause thats not what it's intended to do. I just wanted to voice my opinion. Thanx!

Your going on a diet and I cant remember if they said the performer intake was alright or not, buy you some good heads and go to street stock since they want streets back to stock 4link, since that will be the only main difference. I think the stock 4 link is a bad idea, they are just pissin off the few guys that still run to accomadate cars in eastern oklahoma and kansas cars. Those tracks are quite aways away, how can you guarentee that some will show to gain car count? Alot of the kansas cars Ive read that are leaf spring cars run a setup called the Fastboys set up. May have to sign up but its a good read on how to set a car up for this, its about 9 posts down. http://www.thedirtforum.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=21285&highlight=fastboys. Never seen one in person and all I know about it is what Ive read but to me it looked like these cars clearly have an advantage over a stock 4 link. If anything go back to a long panhard bar. I dont know how long the short/j bar has been around, but back when they joined pro stock and street stock there was a camaro street stock that had no problem running with the old pro stocks and won quite often. There used to be 16-18 street stocks, the cars are still here, in my opinion they need to get locals back not worry so much about getting cars 120 miles away to come here.

wouldnt you agree from a promotor stand point that a change needs to be made in that class? how can you offer a 10,000 to win show when you cant even generate 5 cars on a weekly bassis? there would be no point putting the street stocks on a long panhard bar, its just limiting the class even more, and besides what will that effect? i know a guy that won the 10 to win 3 times with a long bar and a guy that won the 10 to win 1 time with a long bar from the wrong direction. i think the street stock guys should feel lucky to even be considered to race next year, its a dying breed! i think what kip is trying to do is create a way to bring more possibility's to the class.

as far as rule changes in factory the alum intake is a no go, lower trailing arm deminsions are better specified,3250 limit,NO ALUM BODY'S,no hoosier 500's after first sat. in june, just more clearified the gray area's than anything.

I hope the street stocks do pick up. Sure was nice having well over 100 cars at the nationals. Not sure we will ever see that again.

Dustin, what will kill the Street Stocks is a declining economy, skyrocketing costs and not lining up the rules atleast close to what other tracks are running..IMO the big Outlaw race in Muskogee had a 60 to 70 car turnout the 1st year because of the rules ..Kip and I had a good year last year on stock 4 link with even faster lap times than a good 3 link setup..The cars can be faster, cheaper to run and more attractive to all racers who prefer to run something other than modified..Give it time and watch it grow if the economy will allow it..

A steel block and 23* steel head rule along with any type piston would also help..Eliminate the flattop only rule..A dome piston with this head rule is no advantage to what is out now and guys in and around the region might be able to build what they already have and be competitive..Just some thoughts

There needs to be some type of full body racin! It is where it all started from but with people only looking out for their own intrest and not the Street Stock class it wont prosper. Set some rules for 2011 on the motors state wide and run restricker plates this year. All though this rule isnt bullet proof it is still a start. Dependability and cost in motors is where the focus ought to be not H P. As far as chassis go it's probably cheaper to take a car back to a three link than do a four bar chassis or leaf springs, leaf spring wear faster than coil spring and even taken down the highway in the trailer is hard on the spring rate.. Kinda like the sport mod rule, if you want four bar do late model and leave the street stocks alone. You have to do what Brill is tryin to do and that is find middle ground between Factorys and Street Stocks to generate more cars in that class.

I have said keep it cheap for years and all these guys have done in the Past is make it more expensive. Brinn trannys, Hoosier 500's, unlimited motors all the time because they werent teched. I think the stock four link might work for guys that already have the cars but when you tell a guys in the middle of january that he has to completely change his car to run. From the people ive heard it from you would have to have the stock pan for the four link. Personally i think its a bad idea and youll run the class out of enid. Theres 2 many cars already on 3link around here and they wont change and if you dont believe me wait around and watch. That class is a dying breed and i hate to say it because i own 2 street stocks myself.

I think that every Factory Stock, Street Stock and Pro Stock should race Brills at the first of the year. Lets sort through the difference out there with a Promoter that will listen and help us get a set of rules for "OUR" class of cars so we can provide full body racin to all fans in OK. He's allowing Pro stocks with his Factories and I'm sure Streets are pretty close too. The only thing I'm having to buy is tires. Remember Brill cut his teeth in this class!
