Come on people...Let's make this happen.

It was sad to see that when Channel 4 News (KFOR) broadcast another story about our effort and made mention of the "Save the Speedway" petition there were only 245 signatures.

Last time I checked in there was only 400 signatures. That is not anywhere close to the amount of signatures needed for the total population of OKC. No wonder Mr. Cornett feels he has already won this battle.

I am also a bit upset that I do not see allot of signatures from many of the families that are so dedicated to our sport, the Allen's, the Gastineau's, the Jennings', the Reed's, just to name a few. I could go on forever but I just wish that everybody would join in our effort.

Even if it is in our fate that the current Track be closed forever, the City leaders have always promised that a new facility would be built. The only thing they forgot to mention was that it would have to be built from private investors.

So at this point I would suggest that the next time you take your family out to eat, go to the mall, buy groceries, buy the kids school clothes, purchase gas for your cars and trucks, do not make make these purchases inside the Oklahoma City limits, drive the extra mile to Midwest City, Del City, Moore, Bethany, War Acres, Mustang, Yukon, etc.

This is not a hard task as we all commute through a different City or Township in our daily routine. This will keep our Tax Dollars away from the MAPS 3, and at the same time benifet the citizens of our community.

The City of Oklahoma City wants to take something from us, so let's show our support by not spending our money for material needs, or our entertainment dollars in Oklahoma City.

Uncle I have kept a close watch on who has signed the petition. I know for a fact we have had Tony Bruce Jr. , Shane Carson and Rick Barksdale as a few others. As I am typing this at 11:50 the petition is stitting at 437.

If people knew some of the things that I have learned in the last few days then you would be going typical horse show crap.

Hillbily, I too apologize. If you only knew the number of phone calls and e-mails I have received in the last two days..... My head is spinning. Ok I know thats a normal deal for me. But I am only trying to spark the fire.

If you can get Bennett to sign off on this deal then I would get on the stage at SFS in front of everyone and say you are the man from what I heard this afternoon after the council metting, Can everyone say horsie,

Did a littlie calcultion from both the Facebook and the petiton site within a 7 hr time span. we had 29.5 people sign up on facebook and 24.7 on the petiton and that is a per hour basis.

It's all good. We are United, we are simply making light of our current situation.
