I 've tried to cool off after a day but i just cant let it go , i just wanted everyone to hear my Clinton story . About a week or two before the first leg of the Clinton winternationals I made a phonecall to Joe Madore to ask him a specific question about sportmod rules for that weekend and he gave me an honest answer . Well as we finally wrap up the month and a half long winternationals I start sixth row and come up to lead the main and have a brain to foot mishap on the lap and finish a respectable 2nd no big deal i was still happy comming from that deep in the field had a blast and some really good races with a few cars . I pull across the scales and get the thumbs up and pull to the tech area and the next thing i know iam bein called a cheater by a guy thats not even racin that weekend but he builds the guys car that finished behind me . well after 20 min of crying the offical comes to me and says i'm ok well the guy cries some more and more and more you get the hint well he makes some phone calls and all of the sudden i am illegal ! . After standing around for a few min i find out some other ppl made the same phone call I did and Joe told them the exact same thing that the item in discussion was ok to run . So i call Joe from the pits and all the sudden the story is different and he's tellin me we were tryin to pull a fast one on him and the decision stood he said look at the flyer thats all he could say he did'nt want to talk about the discussion we had on the phone . So i dont make a scene i just load my car and go to turn my transponder in and did'nt even get any start money , so i'm just givin everyone fair warning if you call Madore and ask him a question dont believe his answer . Thats sad too I was kinda lookin forward to havin another track open to run at but lets face reality the place was built on a dump so I guess thats what it is . On another note I live west of I-40 but not far enough because once the western oklahoma guys started to gripe the tables turned . Maybe the guy was just mad because i outran him with the 2 year old car that used to be his and i am pretty sure he started pole .I'm sure other ppl have some great Clinton stories they would like to share .

That don't look good at all for a track that is going to run a full season next year. Thanks for the heads up and sorry about you getting screwed. Thats messed up.

The dude that you was talking about said to you.You should get paid is that the truth? He stated the rules on flyer said IMCA?If Joe told you you could run them you should have got paid. I no he said it i was standing there.You should have got payed.

Why would you have to ask, the rules clearly stated IMCA or OKC rules, niether allows this very soft tire to be ran.

Yes I know who he is just not mentioning names but yes he said it was joes screw up and I should be paid . Its just bad business to tell someone one thing and turn around and say the opposite I guess I'm just bitter for spending so much money and not gettin paid

I made the phone call before i ever saw a flyer and joe said as long as it had hoosier 500 on it .

i was there on the qualifying days, i ran 2nd in one qualifier and 3rd in the other. i was the 3rd fastest car there

we clocked every front running car, you were 4 to 6/10 slower a lap than the 69 car, 87 car and then me the 91 car,

and the 09 was faster than you and he had the same tires you had, but i wish i would have gotten my old butt out in the cold and come back and played with you.

It was me Randy Thomas they are talking bout. First off sorry Shawn my dad called me cuz him and my kids where leavin the stands, I did not make any phone calls nor did I talk to Joe at anytime sat . Oh and the car that beat you was mine too. And he was on legal tires too.As you notice I showed the tech guy the Flyer and wht it says the rules are. And why did you tell the tech guy you could run them at OKC?? If you wasnt tryin to get away with it WHY DID YOU THINK YOU HAD TO LIE?? There is a stamped 500 and a unstamped 500 that are the same tire, wht you had wasnt you know it and if Joe told you to run it he owes you 500 bucks I told you that sat. did I not? Joe's mess up anit mine or your fault its his. I think he owes you 500 bucks but still beleave the right call was made. Then we come to David Smith jr who sends me a text bout how he almost lost respect for me over this, but then wont pick up the phone when I call. If thats wht it takes for you to lost repect for me your anit wroth havin.

Look Randy I dont have a problem with you thats why I never mentioned your name Me and you both agreed that was joes foul in the discussion we had by the fence I mentioned the calling thing because after trent said I was legal you got mad and said you were callin the guy that was putting this thing on whether you did or not I dont care . Besides someone liked the car better than i did so I sold it today , guess i'm out of a ride , lookin for a new chassis !

Joe said and I quote "you can run it as long as it is a hoosier 500" he said nothing about an IMCA stamp when asked about it on the phone. Shawn as far as i'm concerned you got screwed and thats about all that takes place at Joe's racetracks. And for msz check your information on the tires people ran when you were clocking them your wrong.

gotta proven winner ready for ya. $2,850 for the chassis, body, tub, deck, motorplate, brake lines, plumbed, completely wired, gauges,16 gallon fuel cell, steering down to the gear. Make a great christmas present. Will thrown in a gallon of tire softner.

Back in 2006 up at Clinton I ran my first race on Enid tires and ended up third to last. The next race I put on the good old soft one's ran out front most of the race until I hit a rut and popped it out of gear had a bunch pass me and ended up fourth. If it was'nt for that rut I really thank a first or second would of been mine. I love them tires and would run them anytime I could especially if you had permission.
