It is just north of Lucky Star by some people who have alot of land up there. Started as a motocross course and then they started doing a roundy round. It has been rumored for at least a year now but I would think they would get something out detail wise to get people excited and interested.

Personally I don't see it happening. All this is IF it is the same one that I heard about last year. They had a website but I can't remember the name of it.

That would be nice to have. It would be the closest track from Enid.

I talked to a friend of mine who knows the man that owns this and he said they are supposed to be building a 3/8 track, but that the guy sometimes drags his feet. That means it could take awhile. I also heard that it would be specials only with large purses paid by the indians or casino. I don't know that for fact.

I think everyone should email them and let them know that we are interested in getting this track up and running. And also that if they run the right events we will support them.

Hello everyone this is Troy at Angel Ridge race park in El Reno. I would just like to let you know that we have started the layout on a 3/8 mile dirt track. I will be the first to admit that I'm not real educated on dirt track auto racing. I do have some really close friends that are, between them and you (car owners and drivers) giving your opinions I will put together a top of the line, fair, fun and quality race track. I know there are a lot of questions on what classes we will run, are we going to run a weeky event or just money races. As we move forward building the facilities we will figure out what we need to do to be a well rounded race track. Soon I will have a auto racing section on the web-site so that you can keep up with our progress. www.angelridgeracepark.com

As far as the foot dragging thing goes my friend that said that must not really know me that well. I have been planning this round track for almost a year now. My first goal was to build my son a mx track,he now has four to ride. We just finshed our first motocross series and I'm now ready to start on my second goal " the car track" Feel free to e-mail or call. cell phone service at the track is not good leave a message and I will return your call.

I was on the way back from OKC today and stopped by to look at the track in El Reno. The dirt work is under way and i met the owner Troy. Hes a really nice guy and has great plans for that place. The surface is a red clay similar to meeker. He told me alot of his ideas and i think it will work out great. Hes shooting to have it done somewhere around late april early may. Hope everyone will come out and give his track a shot. Gonna be alot of fun there. He own 320 acres and has 6 motorcross tracks. Anyone that says this guy is dragging his feet needs to see his facility. Drive out there and check it out. www.angleridgeracepark.com This website will give you directions but you cant miss it. He has signs at every mile to guide you.

Personally I do not know the place in El Reno but I think thing can get rolling better if people were not so negitive all the time. It seems like the might be another track opening up close and one of the first things said is "I don't see this happening" or "the guy drags his feet" Lets give the guy a chance. It seems like OKC doesn't want the revenue from racing so we go somewhere else, sure it is a long ways from Del City but hell with OKC. That is my 2 cents

Anyone who would say such a thing would change their mind when they drove onto his place. He has really nice motor cross track for as far as you can see on his property. I cant wait for it to open. Hes running on friday nights. He said he might race a little later for people to make the drive but not to late. A guy can go race there on friday and then hit clinton, elk city or meeker on sat.

The only problem with running on Friday nights is getting a majority of fans to come being it is an hours drive for most. After getting off work and having to drive an hour or more on Friday might kill his fan base IMO. I live behind Quail Springs mall and it is 50 miles from my driveway, I might make some shows but thats me, all I can say good luck with Friday nights.

I will go and check it out when they open, I just hope they have a good turn out. Maybe they can get a shuttle bus for the fans (j/k )LOL. Don't get me wrong I wish Troy and all his crew all the luck in the world. But when it comes to fans on a Friday night it's all about location IMO.
