The ORA will be having a meeting December 9th at 8:00pm. We would like anyone and everyone to attend. Drivers, owners, pit crew, and fans are all welcome. This is a very importnant meeting in the future of the ORA and we need every car that races at SFS, or will be racing in the future, to be represented. Please make a special effort to attend this meeting. Thanks, S.F.

Wiley Post Park building in Oklahoma City. Entrance located about 1900 block of S. Robinson on West side. South of the river and north of railroad tracks.

Once again, maps3 has nothing I repeat nothing to do with the speedway. It can pass or fail and it will not change one thing with the speedway.

Guess it will still be Lanny's way or the highway no matter what. Nothing against the ORA but if Lanny hasn't listened or agreed with the ORA before now what makes you think the next two years would be any different?

I am not trying to be disrespectful against the ORA because a racing association is always a good thing for competitors. But if the track owner is always negative about what the racing association is wanting to do what is the point? If the track owner or lease holder could have thought about the future of the track years ago and not just worry about the money, the future for SFS might and I say Might be a little different.

Everyone please take time out of your busy weekly schedule to attend this meeting. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you attend.

Owners, Drivers, and Fans are all encouraged to show for this meeting. I know a lot of you have issues that you blame or have blamed on the ORA over the years and I'm sure that you have a good position in your feelings, but the truth of the matter is the ORA needs to become more of a sanctioning body rather than a "Lets make these Rules and see if the Promoters will allow us at their tracks". Dee-Ta -Dee

There is strength in numbers, each and everyone of you has a voice. But if you are a No Show at the meetings your vote is not counted, leaving You and Your Team to put up with, deal with, and take on the expense of a Promoter, by not being a member. Those expenses affect us all. The Promoter then wants to charge more for admission to the Pits, the Grandstands, and the Concessions to cover the lack of Car Count and lack of Grandstands.

That's what's killing us. We are not united. Everybody thinks they have the answer, Hell I don't have the answer. It takes the whole group to come up with a reasonable solution that applies to everybody in every class.

Cheaters of course in all classes will be Shot !!!

And don't think just because SFS may only last two or three more years that it would be a waste of time. Eventually it could progress state wide for all drivers at all tracks. Got this idea from a phone call that I received on the idea.

If I were somebody I would even attend but I will be busy throwing marbles at your lovely Mayor since I am sure his smiling face will be plastured all over the tv tonight.

I am nobody, I like it that way.

But, I will be there to represent the vintage race car interests as an observer. I do know that none of the 'old' guys wish to be involved in anything that is not united, the drama kills the fun we wish to pay for.

We want to run on Fairgrounds dirt a time or two next year, and it is proving to be a great promotional tool for any racetrack program. So long as we just have fun right? I mean, that is what it's supposed to be about.

Yessssss, we're a bunch of old geezers with worn out race cars, but the work and the life investment that we represent from all those years ago, is what gave us something to fight over.

We're all in the same boat now as far as the Speedway goes. I mean, they are actually going to tear down the last Oklahoma shrine to racing on dirt.

just my opinion.
