What is the typical maintenance schedule for a 410 sprint car between shows? How does it differ for an IRA Regional Series and World of Outlaws?

Just curious.

#1 pull injector apart air out lines remove as much methanol as possible( alky loves to attract water, thus isopropel alcohol/Heet for gas line freeze fuel/gasoline will be capable of burning with this mixture) we pull the items apart to further from currosion, side note WD40 helps this issue, WaterDisplacement 40 40th mixture by originators was proved to be most usefull

#2 after prepping for bath the car is simply washed down

#3 I commonly do this at the shop the bibs blankets, sandwich bagsLOL whatever, is removed the car is quickley dried off with a blow gun and looked over carefully to make sure water stayed out any nasty spots , if so, specific items are opened to let dry. routinely the car is swept with a coating of WD40 on vital moving parts headers(if not stainless) remain to look good if wetted out at this time also

#4the entire suspension is disassebeled and changed to another track configuration or a generic startup settup depends where we are going and what has seemed to work for us,

#5 as the chassis is reassebeled lubing/cleaning kingpins.torquetube& ball, birdcages is addressed

#6 Now onto the motor oil is changed filter is cut to examine, valvelash and spring tension is checked Fuel filter is pulled and cleaned left out overnight to dry, injection system goes back into assembly, plugs are changed evey three nights on my mill oil is every two nights just depends where and how the night went

#7 chassis is blocked and rearend is geared according to next event (again just depends on what has worked as a baseline )

#8 all last minute items are buckeled up hood/body panels are in place. car is dropped to the floor and hopefully mother nature isnt lurking its ugly eyes on our region,

I think youll find most of the WoO teams do a elaborate job on this topic , while most of us are at work (un race oriented) the teams are off making every possible item under a microscope addressed

I wouldnt say my routine maitinane falls into place as my numbering system shows ,but all this does get done prior to my wheels hitting the track , keep in mind we havent even bugun to talk about equipment failure, tire selection, new parts ect ect, that could tally on to your to do list, Like stated before if you dont catch the matinance, itll catch you!

LOL, if I dont perform my maitenance I will be too. I dont run with the IRA, but a sanctioning body up here in the upper midwest real similar, regardless 305,360.410 WoO, IRA,ASCS the routine is the same, pretty popular question when visiting in the pits , Sprint Cars are by far, the most interesting IMO Youll notice after the checkers fly, alot of teams are already dissassebeling the injection, the routine has just begun !
