The state mandated maximum noise level of 95dB at 100 feet will be enforced at the Trophy Cup. A state employee will be at the track to measure noise level and any car exceeding the maximum will be penalized. The track has received noise complaints this year from races.

100 feet from where??? It should be from the front gate. Its just plain stupid if they do it from the infield or grandstands IMO. Oh well at least here at Santa Maria we don't have to worry about the Noise Nazis from the state of Calif. its nice having a private track and knowing the housing complex built above of us is a complete ghost-town and has no utilities to have people move in. See ya all next week.
Trophy Cup......Best race of the year hands down!

We all raced for years at SM under the threats of being too loud and a strict curfew....now with Chris all that is a thing of the past.

I don't understand the nerve of people to complain about noise at a track when they knew the track was there before they moved close to it! Plus there are not that many races there anymore and they are on weekends! I just love hearing the lovely roar of sprint cars on a Saturday night 
Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!
Winged sprintcars = the fastest and most exciting
racecars on dirt!

What was there, like 5 races there this year? 5 nights out of 365? Yeah, that's a reason to complain! GEEZ!!!
