This is a complete OPEN exhibition style tournament - consider it a cousin to the SFS Fantasy League. Anyone can play in this - not just the 40 teams in the weekly league.

It covers 2 rounds.
Round 1 is THIS weekend.
Round 2 is Winter Nationals

It's somewhat difficult to explain. I will post a table below - as teams post their picks - I will put those teams into that table in groups. There will be 4 groups. After this weekend - the top 2 from each of the 4 groups will be put into a group (championship group) for Winter Nationals - same with 3rd and 4th place finishers (group 2) and on down. That top group will decide final positions 1-8 in The Shootout. The 2nd group (3's and 4's) will decide 9-16 - and on down depending on # of entries.

Thats really the best way I can explain it right now, however I may be able to come up with more nifty ways tomorrow lol.

The only other thing I can say is - ANYONE can play in this. It is not restricted to the 40 who have played in the league throughout the year - ANYONE CAN PLAY.

Group 1 Group 2 Group 3 Group 4 group 5 if necessary
1. Hog Wild 1. WING-N-IT 1. Dirt Squared 1. Sprints Rock
2. Carr Racing 2. Airflow Assassins 2. Hoss' Heroes 2. Team 37
3. Mustang 3. Chase 3. Cherokee Indian 3. Proud American
4. Team 77 4. Dirt Track Cowboys 4. Circle Jerks 4. Crimson Sliders
5. Speedyman21 5. Dirt Underground 5. General Travis 5. Tidbiter
6. Short Bus Bandits 6. SFS Fan 6. Wing Nuts 6. DAN FAN
7. Dirt Bandits 7. Dream Chasers 7. Night Storm Racing 7. Team 27
8. Just BS 8. The Nut Sacks 8. Roundy Rounders 8. D Town
9. High Plains Drifters 9. Sonicblu12 9. Sprint Drama 9. Full Throttle
10. Lil Miss Dirt Princess 10. Team Ray 10.   10.

It's worth mentioning.....

Team should not be very concerned about having some of the same picks as other teams - Any given team in The Shootout is against SEVERAL other teams - not just 1.

Like this weekend (round 1) - it covers 2 different nights - 9 picks total (4 friday, 5 sunday). So there are ample chances to get some distance/space between teams. So no sense in worrying about other teams picks like we sometimes have to do in the weekly league. In "The Shootout" - for the most part a team can just worry about their own.
