The All Stars are racing at West Memphis AR on Saturday and Hohenwald TN on Sunday. I was wondering what 410s are planning on coming down this weekend and how many cars we can expect? Any info is appreciated.

Those races have been cancelled. Some of the All Stars have been on the road with Thunder Through the Plains, Pevely and Knoxville and the Midwest All Stars were in Tennessee this past weekend. That's a lot of wear and tear on people and equipment and most of these teams need a break from the travel, quite frankly. I'm sure the normal bad-mouthers (who wouldn't have been at the races anyway and have no dog in the hunt) will have a fiesta at this news but it's not like anybody really pays mind to them anyway.

I think that Riverside should say f*ck you to Guy Webb in the future. He can take his circus show elsewhere next time. Just my opinion. I was really wanting to see Daron Clayton race at the bullring known as "The Ditch".

The allstar teams will most likely be in north central ohio this weekend racing @ attica. You know, one of the FAST series tracks.
I'm sure that the normal bad-mouther (who wouldn't be at the race and has no dog in the hunt) will feel it necessary to talk shit about it on his internet "radio show", but it's not like anybody really pays mind to him anyways.
Too bad it's not a FAST points race. If it was, the WHARBL-GARBL would not only be guaranteed, it would be even more entertaining in it's guaranteed bullshit/spin content.

When the schedule was made out, everyone knew that the Thunder Thru the Plains, Pevely Ironman55, and the Nats. came before the TN races. Bottom line is the ASCOC KNEW that was a longhaul after the Nats and in years past made no difference. As for the MidwestStars, they've only run a handful of times all year so I wouldn't think travel would be a problem for them. Maybe the fact that the MWAS ran 2 races in TN this past weekend with only 6 cars starting the features, and the fact that the Atwood, TN ASCOC Sunday night race was never on their schedule for this weekend. What a bigger joke this is all becoming. I wonder if all 5 AllStar and Midwest AllStar drivers get day to day updates as to where they may or may not be racing that week?

If you're a big-time sprint car organization, you don't cancel a week before the race is supposed to happen. Sometimes I think the All Stars get a worse rap than is deserved, but in this case, come on.

This may be the best decision they have ever made. For one, fans will not be ripped off by two four car heat races and an eight car feature for $20. Also, the PR girl can have the weekend off to brush up on basic grammar and punctuation skills. And finally, the whole series can save themselves the embarrassment of getting their collective asses handed to them by another 360.
But like president W's secretary of bullshit said, "it's not like anybody really pays mind to them anyway."???
A slackjawed yokel once told me, "I am assuming your
just some niave broad who likes to shoot her mouth off
so I will give you a pass just this once on your
dipshit comments."

A suggestion to Guy Webb:
Ever thought of making the Florida races and Thunder through the Plains run for seperate mini-point funds, and not count them for Season Championship Points? That way you could get a lot more guys running the full All-Star Point Schedule, making for a better points battle. This year there are only six guys that have run the full schedule, with three of them being rookies, and Shaffer ahead in points by over 400. There are a few guys who would still be in the hunt if those long hauls didn't count towards Championship points, like Blaney and Wimmer, and I bet you could possibly get a few more guys running the full tour next year; like Smith, Conley, and possibly Mayes, B. Martin and Mintz. Just a suggestion.

Perhaps thats part of the problem. Sounds like something Nancy Pelosi would say.

Wasnt that thought about when the shows were booked or did this Thunder/Plains deal and Knoxville pop up out of the blue?

Attention race fans according to God of the internet airwaves, and a premier literary genius John Katich, no one cares or pays attention to your opinion anyway. Its ok for him to come out and bash away at other organisations, but your better off dead if you dare bash his beloved All-Stars. The All-Stars is a series with some great drivers, but some poor leadership.
Maybe it should be posted at the ticket windows at all future All-Star events. We will gladly take your money for the privilege of attending this racing event, but if you have a negative comment or opposing opinion that differs from that of the All-Stars sanctioning body and its administrators, you will be prosecuted.
In more simple terms give us your money and shut up!!
WHY ARE WE HERE? BECAUSE WE'RE HERE. ROLL THE BONES.-

Well maybe now I see why alot of people didn't go to Spoonriver for the Mass race. I was there and the attendence was really bad. Good or bad everyone's opinion should be listened to and maybe that could help the series get better.

you can attempt to sugar coat this all you want but it was a B.S. move and you know it. The fans deserve better that the pathetic way they were treated at that joke of a MESS race last week and I don't blame Hohenwald for pulling the plug. the deal with riverside just proves that Guy Webb is a joke as a promoter. You don't sign a contract to lease a facility (the ditch in this case) and decide to back out because YOU, THE PROMOTER, can't deliver.
Maybe it's not too late for Riverside to get the ASCS or USCS in there for a real show.

Gee Jeff (Raceway Video), I thought that was always the tradition of "Thunder Through the Plains," run it that Monday after the Nationals and only have one or two off nights through Saturday night or Sunday night. Those were five or six nights of racing and this series can't do two or three nights after the Nationals?
There is no true "Thunder Through the Plains" as that is history, should not be belittled from what it once was to what it has become. Yes I am living in the past as I am sure all those who were faithful to the true All-Star Circuit of Champions still do at this point.
The cancellation reason is a joke, just like the series has become.
Oh, and Kiatche has a radio show and the All-Stars have a "PR" person? I wonder what else I don't know.

ASCS has only 20 point paying "National" races and USAC national sprints/midgets run primarily in the midwest. The All Stars primarily run in OH and they show up in PA, plus those handful of races that they run with the WoO.
A lot of people like to badmouth the WoO but they are and will continue to be THE national series. What is it that Johnny did/does say "Often imitated, but never duplicated".

it looks like another low dough allstar show at Attica this weekend. Thanks Guy Webb!!!
Oh by the way I saw on another board that allstar regular Ryan Myers was in an auto accident and is done for the season. the allstar car count just dropped by one more.
Also who does this katitch guy think he is? Every time he posts he wants to belittle the fans who buy the tickets to these races. what a dumbass. If I'm ever in a fight I hope he's not on my side.

F.A.S.T will run this Guy! out of town next year. There`s not to many more places will put up with his bull sh$t anymore. The fans have spoken! Take your All Star Circus somewhere else. The talented drivers of the original All Stars will be FAST in Ohio. The smoke has cleared, your miror has broken, your snake oil is gone. Move on Great One! See if you can`t MESS up your late model series as well.
