I am not a huge fan of hers, but she does have something 99.9% of us will never have, a major series win, and it don't matter how she got it, a win is a win.

Sorry, Henry, but too many others have won races using the same fuel mileage startegy as Danica did. So you think less of her accomplishment, just because she's a woman? Strap on one of those 210 mph missiles, then you can disrespect her.....
And if she flounders in NASCAR, she'll follow some pretty good failures...Dario Franchiti, Indy Winner, and Jacques Villeneuve, F1 race winner.
And Josh Wise and Dave Steele didn't exactly set NASCAR on fire, either......my point is that any major race series win is an accomplishment....and that NASCAR is hard, regardless of your background, be it sprints or other types of cars.....And Erin got the NASCAR ride before she got busy with Ray, although her lack of performance in the truck ultimately lost her the ride........
Chuck.....

Sprinter25 is right. Anyone that can wiggle their way into a 220 mph semi-guided missle for 3 hours and 500 miles has my respect. And anyone that can win no matter if is 300, 400, 500 or even 600 miles should be considered an elite athelete. What you don't see about Danica is all of the younger female crowd that she is drawing to the sports. A perfect example is last year at the IRL Race in Iowa. Danica was signing autographs for a few minutes and MOST of the people crowed around her were girls around the age of 10-14. Granted there were the younger male crowd just wanting to get a look at an attactive woman who can
drive a race car really fast. Whether you like Danica or not you have to give her credit for getting a segment
of fans that racing has been missing.

When it comes to female racers in big time competition, I'll take Ashley Force over any other female out there. Looks, talent, personality, anything, she has it compared to the rest, espcially Danica and her charming personality. Sure, her ride was handed to her - but she stiil had to earn where she is in the sport today. 2 funny car wins and right now I believe is 4th in points. I guess these cars are the ones I would call missile's.
