Anyone want to put $$$ on the line about Silver Dollar being rained out Friday night??? Any chance of rain on race day these days and the promoters don't even bother!!! Which means Placerville is done too!!! The only shot you all are going to get to see some racing is going to be Tulare or Marysville! The promoter in Marysville does everything he can and wont call it unless its raining come mud in time. GO MRP!!!
I'm not trying to be negative either, just don't want people to get their hopes up for nothing!

looking at the loops and maps, it might be a washout on the coastline, but I think Chico will get it in. After that, its 52 card pick-up,

i myself get upset at times when shows get cancelled without my consultation, but i guess it makes a difference when the percentage of the chance of rain directly coincides with the percentage of loosing your money. until you are ready to guarantee the promoters a positive monetary return that is worth it to them to let you be the one who makes their decisions i would STFU.
to indy and beyond!!

I wish they would wait a bit longer before calling a race in Chico. HOWEVER, we live in Corning, 15 miles away and keep our cars in Chico!
They call it early in the day for all the other's who live quite a drive to Chico to race. I think that is fair, some of these car's come from a long distance to race here. They need to know before they get on the road and waste their time and $$$ on fuel to get here and find it has been called at 4 or 5pm.
When we lived in Washington it was an hour and a half to get to Skagit to race. Can't tell you the number of times we loaded up and made the drive there to find it had rained out. No cell phones then, or we saw a bunch of other race rig's going the other way on I-5 that clued us in.
Hat's off to the promotor's who make a decision so the far away racer's don't waste time and money for nothing!

Why not? Would you rather get everything ready, load and be on your way only to find out that it's been cancelled?

most teams are loaded up the night before if not even sooner, so your not really saving anytime there!. I know I would much rather drive a couple hours and at least try to race then to do all the work that week, having your weekend planned, sometimes over-knighting parts to get them by the weekend, then call a race that could have been ran. What else to people have planned on race day??? probably nothing so why not hold out a little longer and at least try????

We have an 8 hour tow to pville,so we would like to know sooner then later because we have to leave really early. Any early news is great for us and many others I'm sure.

Hey lauda....., since Mr. Bush has accomplished his mission and retired to bucolic Crawford I've been considering a name change, something like yours......a compression of greats. How'bout pageguycray. That would just about capture the three best and stir Stu up at the same time. Thoughts?
