Some really good racing at the track last night. Program moved along very quickly, due to the threat of rain.

Mini stock feature went green to checks without a caution. The race was a battle from the beginning with Leroy Burger #7 , Kenny Jones #5 , and Stanley Powell #83 fighting for the lead. Jones would hold it for 7 laps, as Powell, Burger and Terry Stauffer #99 raced for second. Brandon James #50 meanwhile was working his way to the front from his second to the last row staring spot. He overtook Jones on lap 8 and held on to win. Jones was second, Stuffer third.

A bad night for some of the top competitors in the Factory stock division as a lap one pile up took out, or damaged several cars. #30 Colt Goodman and #44 Chad Weber left in the first lap, Johnny Reed, Jr. had continuing problems from the heat races which led to the second engine fire of the night in his car, which took him out early. Brian Wolfe #15 was unable to start the feature (made the parade lap, and left.). Brian Stinson and Russell Butler battled for several laps with Butler eventually leading until a 4th corner spin took him to the back. Stinson would hold on for the win, his second of the year. He currently sits second in the points behind Reed. Justin Tucker 71T was second, Russell Butler overcame his spin to finish third.

E-mods were excitement filled as well, Mike Silmon #15 led early, only to hand the lead off to Dustin Buntin #10 on lap 3. Buntin would battle with Tad Sweitzer #22 (who came from mid pack to battle for the lead by lap 4), and Bryan McGee#33, and Don Chesser #99. After several cautions, Sweitzer would get by Bunitn on lap15 and he never looked back. Buntin held on for second, Bryan McGee was third.

In the Modified division it was A. Thomas Tillison, Jr. #85 taking the win, over Randy Bailey #3, and Jeff DeCocq #78. DeCocq led early, handing the lead to Tillison on lap 8. A lap twelve caution would put the three back in close proximity, but it was Tillison's night as he took the checks ahead of Bailey and DeCocq.

Sprints were fast and exciting. One of the high points of the night occurred when Evan Sewell #15 looped his car coming off four, held the gas, popped the front wheels and continued in the original direction, only losing three spots in the process. Sewell was the early leader, but hard-charging Loyd Clevenger #80 was not to be denied as he blew by Sewell on lap 4. No one saw anything but the back of the black and green #80 for the remaining 12 laps. Tulsan Johnny "HotRod" Kent #55 returned to the track for the first time this season and managed a second finish from his tail end starting position. David Lee Lambert #66 was third.

Oh, yeah! Thanks to everyone for coming out. Congrats to the winners and better luck next time to the others. See you next week!!!!!!

P.S. For those who were wondering I spoke to Andrea Hallsted after the races. She was shaken, but not hurt (some neck and back pain which could be expected.). The ambulance ride was mostly a precaution. She'll be back next week if they can get the car repaired.

Eventhough I had some problems and was caught up in a crash (again), the track was really good and racey and smooth. Good job Brills!

The Pile up was a mess, and the Fire in the Heat & Feature was do to the Valve Cover Gasket pushing up thought we had it fixed, but it would not hold. That pile up got the right rear half of the car sheet metal and the right rear beadlock, i already have the sheet metal all fixed up and we will be ready to go again next week, cya all then.

Who cares if he had bead locks or he was out side the rules! I've been there before! Let the guy race or try out his car! I think you need to protest a car and put your money up and stop crying to Mark Brill!!!! There are rules and lets abide by them, If you think he is illegal then protest him!! The guy worked hard all week just to race on saturday nite and have a little fun! Come on Guys, he finished 4th JMO!!!!!!

Oh, I get it now........So, the reason Mark has the top five finishers pull in the in field after the feature is to congratulate them huh?????

Grease-rag, Everyone knows why we all get pulled into the in field and yes that is to get Teched and thats the way it should be!! But at the same time i think a car should be allowed to run at our track 1 time being legal or illegal to test there car and see if they like it before putting money into it to run with us. We all know that factory stocks at brill are not truly factorys and the cost to race them and be competitive is not cheap! There are alot of other tracks that let you race 1 time before being DQ! To the rest of you, Everyone wants to win but nobody can win them all and who would want to if there is no competition its no fun!!! I also think if you want to gripe every week about a car just put your money where your mouth is protest them and get it over with dont go whining and crying to mark about it every week like we are in grade school!!

Or slow down on the last lap, finish 6th and avoid the tear-down. There was a similar case last year in another class. The driver was told PRIOR to the race not to finish above 6th or he'd be D'Q, because he had some fairly minor infractions (beadlocks). He finished 5th and was D'Q'd. My point, if I have one, is don't race to win and expect to be allowed to be outside the rules.

Well I asked last week if Brill's has scales to someone in the pits and he said no but they should. IMO that is kinda backward.
