Considering spring nationals will be the pinnacle of the racing year - with over 60 ASCS sprints plus support classes, I sure hope they make this race up next weekend. Why not? it's a wide open date and this will be the best race of the year at SFS. Yeah it might be early - but I sure dont see how this is a recipe for success.....

like i said - they should run Spring Nationals NEXT weekend so the track can hold a successful and profitable race and the fans can see the best

Lanny having already scheduled the weekend of April 3-4 off for the now ppd. All-State Oklahoma modified show, that would be the perfect weekend to reschedule for IF the races are indeed called this weekend. Their Lone Star region is slated for Cowtown that Saturday night but shouldn't affect the car count here at SFS.
We shall see what happens.

I'm confussed as many may already know, but in our area should'nt the Spring Nat's. be called the Winter Nat's., the Summer Nat's. be called the Hot as Hell Nat's. leave the fat girls at home. And the Winter Nat's. be considered a fair weather BBQ for all to attend. lol
Crazy aignt it. Good ol' Oklahoma weather. What are you going to do.

Those that remember when Shane has the spring nats for the WoO always knew that the weather would be iffy. Some of those races were cold as heck.

I am all for cancelling this weekend and running next weekend. If they choose to have it, Friday will be rain/snowed out most likely and Saturday the grandstand will look like it did for the practice. I don't think that is any good for anyone.
Maybe they could run Sat. night and do a Sunday 2pm show. Or just a Sunday, $8,000 to win show with a forty lap feach. Let em bake the tires off in the afternoon sun. (that is what most of you people like anyway, dry slick).
Either way, if they're racing THIS weekend, I'll be there. Just crummy the only two days of the week the temp will be below 60 is friday and saturday. Been waiting since October for this weekend and Mother Nature does this. Oh well, that's the Spring Nationals. A decision would be made today you would think.

If the weather does what they say it will do then there is no way imo that you can get a track ready by Sunday afternoon. The morning predictions on Wed had Okc getting 1-3 inches of snow by the time this thing ends sometime Sat. That alone without any of the rain they are predicting for Friday would give you about 3 tenths of inch of water.
I am for one wanting to run this thing this weekend but lets hold off till the weather is better. You also have to remember that there are quite of few out of town guys that would pull in for this but if it looks like rain then they might stay home.
