that team seems to be real fast. their first 2 races and they have 2 3rd places finishes against a stacked field. i hope i get to see this team in the midwest sometime this summer besides Nationals but they probably don't plan on traveling. good luck to Stevie and team. it looks like the Posse has a new threat to deal with.

Would be great to see them race the Kings Royal this summer. They have a great shot at winning one or more of the WoO races in PA. Might be somebody to watch at Volusia.

Amen! I've always liked the Zemco car, one of the sharpest looking sprinters out there, plus most of their drivers through the years. Pauch, Gobrecht, Shepard, and now Stevie who I've been a huge fan of since he began racing in the mid 80's!

Stevie did look good, but I'm not sure he isn't better off in the 1z. They don't run the biggest schedule, but they go after big money and have a lot of experience bringing it home. Rahmer loses Tim, Leppo gets Yingst and goes to Maxim, Esh on a new team, Mark Smith gets Tim, Stevie in the Zemco ride, Darrah loses Lee, Hodnett switches to JEI, Lance is back off the road, Cannon finally hits 410s, Hamilton comes back with Kauffman, Young gets the #98, Nouse is back in 410s, not to mention Shaffer and Montieth defending track titles. Good season in PA?

I hope the Kauffman/Hamilton team returns to the glory years of the 80's and Stevie takes the Zemco team to another level. I wish Keith wasn't running the limited schedule, but I'm excited Al is backing him again.
Central PA is going to be awesome this year with Stevie/Zemco and Lance back in the fold. Elwell helping Mark Smith will be another thing to watch. Timmy has had nothing but success no matter who he's helped (Rahmer, Dewease, etc.). Pittman is a great addition, he's had a good start so far.

Yea, like he said, back in the Nace 6. Only looking at about a 25 race schedule, but knowing that team it will be all the WoO/ASCoC shows, Keystone Cup, PA Speedweek, and any of the bigger paying time trial shows.

Looks like they are still fast as they have fast time tonight at Volusia. That first win might come soon!

I may have just jinxed them, but I think what were seeing here is a little bit of just how good the Zemco car is and how much fire Stevie still has. To call this impressive would be an understatement thus far. Stevie has not had this sucess in Fla in the 19 for quite some time...Speedweek won't be a walk for the 51 this year

With a good car, Stevie is still as good as they come. He hasn't forgotten how to drive, he's just been playing owner/driver without significant sponsorship for the last 3 years. Now, with a good team and car, running a more focused schedule, he'll be back to doing those things we remember from the 90's. People seem to forget how many wins he has, and how good he was from the mid 80's to 2002. He retired and then came back without serious funding and that's what we've seen for the past few years.
Lastly. He's only 42 or 43 years old. He has 10+ years left to rack up some wins with the right team/car combo. A good year in the 1z could put him back on track.

Haven't been around that long, but agree totally, he just looks like a whole different driver now. The Zemco car is definitely a good car, they do a great job with their schedule, IMO
