there is some pretty good information on the cowtown forum. just go to www.cowtownspeedway.com - and you can check out the flyer showing details and payout. as well as their forum. dont have to register to view - but do to post. lool for just about any thread or post by dmantx - he does all the press releases and stuff related to the NSS - as well as lots with the track and STN and other stuff. cool dude.
looks like about 20 or so pre-entered - but more will be there than what have pre-entered. they have word of Gary Wright, Jason Johnson, Tim Crawley as well as a couple World of Outlaw drivers (I'm thinking Sam Hafertepe and Tony Bruce Jr.). Sam won this race last year and Tony Bruce just won the Short Track Nationals. i bet there will be some other stout travelers as well. maybe like Brian Brown. i thought some way up north guys might tow like Scott Winters or Natalie Sather. but i think they are blizzard-ed in up there (i think). a stout local cotingent - prob most or all the DFW area drivers. like Justin Melton, Kevin Ramey, Minter, Estes, Lough, the list runs long. it is late in the year so maybe not all of em will run - but a lot will. expect also some ASCS Gulf South guys - at least i think so. like Ray Allen Kulhanek, Brandon Berryman, Greg Rilat, etc. some of them may come.
Joe Wood Jr. is entered. aside from him and Koby Barksdale - prob not a whole lot more from the sooner state. i would bet Shouse may run it. maybe a tulsa car or 2. Kolt Walker will run it for sure.
they think between 40-50 sprints. there is no late entry fee. its all the same till you show up. i would expect about 30-35 for sure. i think the difference will be in how many come from up north, surrounding states and tracks. like I-30 drivers. maybe memphis area drivers. okc drivers. devils bowl drivers. and pretty much all regional states and series. that will be the difference from high 30's to low 50's i think. they look for 200+ cars total. thats an astounding number. i think thats a lil too optimistic - but it will still be a killer show for sure. and maybe they will get that. there is a reason they do what they do and i dont do it lol. the twin features friday is a great format for fans - wish i could see that. holding out slim hope for saturday tho
