Last night the car count was not anywhere near what I expected. Before the races started the announcer was saying the USA modifieds. I was wondering could this be why the car count was partly lower than what I expected. Just wondering.

If they would run UMP Rules, you would see a bigger car count and alot more Texas cars there also from the DFW area !!!!! let them Mods run the Hoosier 500 Tire also...

I have no idea what rules he is running cause the sure as hell aint the ones he has on his website! If he doesnt start enforcing his rules, he's not going to have anyone! I will not be coming back again until he does so.

At least 3 cars got DQ'd because they had grooved tires, had the field set, and then gave in to those people and let them back in. What a joke. The rules say NO GROOVED OR SIPED TIRES!!!!!! PERIOD!!!

He's a joke. Enough said.

Where's the groove rule? Straight off the web site:

5.10 TIRES/WHEELS:

A. American Racer G 60.15 on Front or Rear(kk704) OR (kk704 SHORT). Hoosier 26.5 80-15 or 27.5 80- 15 A 40 H40 Front Only OR IMCA G60 8 x 15 All tires must durometer within 5 points of factory specs.

B. Conventional one-piece steel wheels with a maximum width of 8”. Foam or plastic mud plug and a metal bead lock can be used on the right rear only. Bead lock wheel width must be 8.00 to 8.75 inches. Maximum 1/2” spacer between hub and wheel. Bleeder valves are allowed on any wheel.

C. Individual tracks can require specific rear tire pressure(s).

Read the rules before going this weekend, made our car "legal". Ran Fri. with grooved tires, get DQ'd Sat. halfway thru the night? Nobody "gave into" us and let us run.

High fives to the guys that readied the racing surface! Track was smoothiest I've seen, prep it like that next year and we'll have a couple cars out.

No hard feelings toward Crazydeke for crying to the officials, but half a dozen cars with grooved tires wasn't what kept you out of the A feature.

First of all, i never said anything to the officials. I actually should have known better because it seems Lanny makes up his own rules as it goes. Thats what's so frustrating. And yes, it did keep me out of the A. The car ran illegal and it gave me the win and passing points which gave me 5th row outside.

Dont know who you are, but i guess you like racing at a track where the rules dont matter. Because at SFS, they dont. Just depends on who you are or how loud you bitch. I was legal, he wasnt! End of story.

Read the bottom of the rules page!

IF IT DOESN’T SAY THAT YOU CAN DO IT

YOU CANNOT!!!!

To your first of all, I was near the pit board when you were bitching at Lanny about grooved tires. Rear grooved tires I believe were your chief complaint. If someone got DQ'd and that gave you the win, why were you in the B? Doesn't matter.

Do some traveling, you learn that rules are merely a suggestion at most tracks, SFS is no different. Good luck to you in your racing ventures!

Again, i never talked to Lanny at all. I didnt know the guy was DQ'd until they put the lineups on the board for the A feature. I really didnt know why they called me to the scales because i was off the track headin back to the pits. Lanny overruled the DQ's and that gave me second which that put me in the B. Which in the B, I broke a trailing arm, which in turned cost me at least $400 in prize money since i didnt make the A.

Second, I race at SFS and i know the rules there and they have never allowed grooving or siping, that's why the track officials DQ'd everyone. It was only after the people who got DQ'd complained about it that Lanny overturned the track officials rulings. And believe me, that happens quite a bit there.

Third, i do race at other tracks and i find out what the rules are before i go!

And last, if a track has rules, i expect them to stand by that. Thats why they have. Did the tire actually affect the outcome of the race? NO. But he was illegal and i was legal. I take pride in knowing that my car is legal. Maybe you dont care, but most of us do. I mean, Lanny gets so bent out of shape about his worthless mufflers and thats about it. Did Rodney Sanders mufflers not properly installed on Friday make much of a difference? NO! But he was illegal. Rules are made so they dont get out of hand and this is not the first time i've been involved with Lanny and tires not being legal at that track.

I love racing, but when i cant count on the track to live by their rules that are set out for all to follow, there's something wrong with that. I raced at Brill all year long and never had to worry but them enforcing the rules.

Well at least I now know it isn't just the sprint cars they refuse to do anything about.
