This was our first race in this series and have found out alot more info on what the Promoter of this series is trying to accomplish. First of if anyone is intrested in finding out more about this series you can go to their web site at www.staturdaynightshooters.4t.com/younggunsshootout they want to schedual more races in OK. and may have an opportunity to run at Lawton next year. They try to keep the series to around 8 races and close to home for the Drivers and Families. Tony Hernandez is the Promoter and would like to see more Okies and schedual more in OK.. The purse a Track Promoter has to pay is very cheap to get this show at your track due to the fact that this series has already obtain some sponsership but is always looking for more. The situation with this series is that Drivers Graduate out of this series and they are always looking for more to replace them. this year they had car count in excess of 20 cars at most of their events. The actual age of the Drivers is suppose to be between 12 and 15 but if you have experience these rule can be ammended and if your 15 at the beginning of the season you can particapate while being 16. A parent can use this Race Car in the Adult classes after the Driver Graduates out which makes your car useful later on. This series is based on FUN and ACCONTABILTY, There is "NO BS" allowed or you will not be invited back. I for one would like to see more Oklahomans in this series and if you have any Questions you can post them here or E-Mail me at [email protected] and I will try to get you an answer.

I believe that Tony would like to have a Young Guns race in all classes. This series is realitively new {I think it started in 07 or 08} and like all things they are making their steps towards an ultimate goal. But for now they only have the Mini Stocks but if there is an intrest in starting up another class I'm sure he would be intrested in helping start up Sport Mods or Sprint Cars.
