NCRA Announces New Oklahoma Modified Series
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - October 9, 2008 - Park City, Kansas - Officials with the O'Reilly/NCRA presented by ICM/Ethanol have officially announced the rules and purse for their new NCRA/Oklahoma modified series, which will debut for the 2009 race season. This new series will be based in Oklahoma with plans for ten to twelve races on its schedule, all at tracks in the state of Oklahoma.
A $50 entry fee will be required at each NCRA/Oklahoma modified event with $25 of that going back to the promoter to help with promotion of the event. Each race will pay $1000 to win and $200 to start for that nights feature finale. All "B" feature starters not qualifying for the feature will earn $100. There will be a one time $50 membership fee.
Rules will be as that of the current NCRA modified rules, which can be viewed at http://www.ncraracing.org/ModifiedRules.htm with the exception of the tire rule. The Hoosier 500 unstamped, IMCA Hoosier or McCreary G60 will be allowed. However, if competing with the McCreary G60 at any sanctioned events, drivers will not receive championship points for event.
Point fund for the 2009 NCRA/Oklahoma modifieds will be a minimum of $5,000 and you must be a NCRA member and compete in at least 75% of the shows to be eligible.
For more information on the new NCRA Oklahoma modified series, to climb aboard as contengency sponsor, presenting sponsor or to schedule a race for the inaugural season, contact NCRA Steward Chris Smith (918) 625-6200 or the NCRA home office (316) 755-1781.
The 2009 race season will be the 39th consecutive year that NCRA has sanctioned races throughout the Midwest and Great Plains region. Along with the current sprint car, modified and late model divisions plus the addition of the new Oklahoma modified, southern sportmod, 305 sprint car and Northern Texas/Southern Oklahoma late model series, the 2009 race season looks to be the biggest in the series storied history.
