100th event in series history next for Jackpot Junction Sprint tour
ARLINGTON, Minn. (Aug. 18) - IMCA's Jackpot Junction Tour celebrates a milestone late this month at Arlington Raceway.
The 100th event in the history of the series for IMCA KSE Racing Products Sprint Cars will be held Saturday, Aug. 30 at the fast half-mile. The tour travels to Redwood Speedway at Redwood Falls, Minn., on Aug. 31 before winding up on Tuesday, Sept. 2 during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals at Boone, Iowa, Speedway.
Pit gates at Arlington open at 3 p.m., the grandstand opens at 5 p.m., hot laps are at 6 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m. At Redwood, gates open at 3 p.m. and the grandstand opens at 4 p.m., hot laps are at 5 p.m. and racing is at 6 p.m.
Grandstand admission at each track is $12 for adults and $5 for kids, with five and under admitted free. Pit passes are $22.
The final event of the 12th annual tour is scheduled for night two of Super Nationals. Gates open at 1 p.m., the grand stand opens at 3 p.m., hot laps are at 4 p.m. and racing is at 5 p.m. Grandstand admission is $10 while pit passes run $20.

Thirty-four different drivers from Minnesota, South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska and Texas have won series events since the first green flag flew back on June 13, 1997 at Montevideo's Fiesta City Speedway.
Three-time and defending Super Nationals champion Curt Lund of Redwood Falls tops the tour career wins list with 16 checkers.
Gaylord's Jason Tostenson is the current series point leader and the only driver with two tour victories thus far in 2008.
