So I'll be that guy. He can't even qualify for an All Star race at Eldora are you kidding me? When is somebody going to realize that it isn't the driver in this deal. They've been through Paul and now Kraig. He didnt' forget how to wheel a sprint car in the year or so he was driving trucks. Somebody please tell Tony to look at who is wrenching on this car. Get their act together. This kid is too good to be riding around like he is now.

Kart91 You are wrong about K Kinser's problem. Says that he didn't qualify d/t blowing rear end in hot laps. I suppose you could do better by the way you are running your mouth.

Just my opinion, but I always thought it was Lasoski that was the set up guy on that car, and they fired him. What has it done since he left? So maybe they do need someone to set that thing up for Kraig.

Compare the TSR No. 20 prior to 2005 and then since.

Not sure about "Why", but can pinpoint the "When" this team started not winning so much...

I hope they can put something together pretty soon!!! The team looks very bad right now. I've never been a big Jimmy Carr fan, but time will tell????

I guess I'm glad Stewart didn't put TK in 20.  People would be slamming him more that what they already do.  What's this I hear he went two for two this weekend?Smile

Anyone who's familiar with the TSR 20 over the past two or three years can tell you what is going on..... the car has been a "development"car, constantly trying different setups and equipment...at the expense of a known, competitive set up. Paulie was a "test" pilot....and I'm sure that he'd have performed better if they hadn't been trying so much stuff.

Don't forget, Danny got the boot from the ride, too, and he was Tony's buddy......

Three drivers in four years, a well funded team....you do the math. I know I have my opinion....

McMahan has proven that already this year. He has had some great runs in the Ferkel car, which is a bit underfunded from what I hear. I think he won a race in California driving someone else's car also this year. McMahan will get another top-notch ride pretty quick the way he has been performing so far this year.

the dude got fired for other reasons though, not because he couldn't wheel a car...there were a few things going on under the table at the time before he was fired....

My original thinking when Stewart hired Kinser was that he positioning himself to follow in the footsteps of Kevin Harvick and starting his own team in one of NASCAR's lower levels (Craftsman and Nationwide Series) with a Sprint Car driver who already had some experience in these trucks/cars. Smoke was just taking advantage of the situation and picked up Kraig when he was available.

With all the recent talks of Stewart looking outside of his contract with Gibbs, his desire to be a part owner in NASCAR, and Chevrolet wanting him back in their cars I think my theory may have some weight.

What do you think?

He has a mortgage, wife and kid now. If his head isn't right, he needs to get it right. I don't know what the problem is. Could be a little of both, crew chief and driver???

I wonder if Tony's move has anything to do with Gibbs not allowing him to drive a Sprint Car as often as he'd like to.

In true NASCAR style...Tony is expected to swap crew chiefs on his teams.

Kraig can get the job done....and lets face it, the #20 has had the anchor out for a while now.

Tony would have no problem getting another crew chief. Who wouldn't want to have an opportunity like that except for a few that have their reasons like family and etc.

I'm sure Carr and Tony are pretty tight so that makes it extra difficult to let Jimmy go.
