as I have been saying - some pretty questionable stuff surrounding the multi-million dollar investment/bid OKC residents laid down to obtain a sub-par NBA team. Peoples eyes just bigger than their brains............OKC is 45th largest market - Seattle was 14th - so what happens in 3 or 4 years when Mr. bennet and co. want some more money. what a wasted investment. but anyhoot here is the article.

This ought to be interesting. Remember fan the people of Okc were drilled that this will bring in new jobs b/c major corporation look to see if a city as a night life before they move to a town. Or at least that is what I have seen on message boards.
"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands
in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he
stands at times of challenge and controversy."

I could see that. guess there just 2 sides with positives and negatives on everything. Interesting the suit the city of Seattle filed. kinda puts the commish in an awkward position for sure. I imagine the team will still leave - but ownerships and players associations and stuff will not look at these owners very kindly. or what am I saying? they probably all the same way.......................lol

In my opinion the people of OKC got snookered AGAIN!!! Mr. Bennett made it clear that the Sonics were coming to OKC. This was not contingent on OKC remodeling the Ford Center, or building a new arena. The Sonics were coming. (period). Mick Cornett and company have used this event to bilk the citizens of more money, under the guise that we HAD to do it, in order to attract an NBA team.
Since I don't live in OKC, I'll try to remember to thank those who do everytime I enjoy a Blazers hockey game at the improved facilities, can't see me EVER attending an overpriced NBA game.
