ok before I get blasted for this. This has been the plan since the INCEPTION of the Fantasy League. it was to start last week - but information problems had to delay it until this week.
Some of you may remember this, but in any case. This applies to weekly divisions at SFS. this does not apply to ASCS, National or Sooner, or the Sprint Bandits.

If you pick a driver in the top 5 points for any weekly class - you will be scored on a 1-20 scale. whatever position that driver finishes will reflect your point total for that pick. this is how we have done it through the first 3 weeks.

But if you pick a driver that is outside the top 5 in points for any weekly class - then you are on a -5 to 15 scale. this is to promote/encourage folks to pick outside the top 5 in points. and to even up the playing field a little bit. Really what it does - is it adds a new dimension and strategy when making your picks.

Any pick who fails to make the A Main - is scored as a 21. no matter where they are in points. it's a 21. we were going to implement this last week. but there was no way to view track point standings online. per track officials - the points should now be updated every week by tuesday the following week. so according to that - the points should be posted on the SFS website by Tuesday.

And finally, this fantasy league (well both leagues) - only goes forward with the continued support of all involved. So - please respectfully let us know your thoughts on the new scoring system. I/we welcome all feedback - especially the kind given in a respectful manner. so again - let me know what you think. thanks in advance. CA

here's what it directly looks like - and this is also for each of your own references

picks in the top 5 in track points

1. 1
2. 2
3. 3
4. 4
5. 5
6. 6
7. 7
8. 8
9. 9
10. 10
and so on

picks outside the top 5 in track points

1. -5
2. -4
3. -3
4. -2
5. -1
6. 1
7. 2
8. 3
9. 4
10. 5
and so on. yes there is no 0 in this system. thats done so that it is TRULY a -5 system.
All non-transfer cars are scored as 21.

You might want to wait and make sure that the points will be posted by Tuesday. I talked to one of the ladies who helps with the website and they're having alot of problems with the new computer program.

I hear ya Dirt Bandit. We were going to start it last week. but these same problems kept that from happening.............we coulda went ahead and did it - but I wanted to make sure it was fair for all you guys.

When I talked with them friday after the show - they were pretty certain they had the bugs worked out of the website - actually they said they were going to a system they used in the past. But JUST IN CASE. I plan to call the track office Tuesday and get the top 5 points for both the factory stocks - and the USA Mods. So that even if they don't get the website workin - we will all have the info.

I'd be lying my ass off if I said I didn't share your concerns Bandit. But to remedy that - I'll call and get the top 5 in points Tuesday. If I have to do this each week until the track website is able to get their points up - I gladly will. It's a very slight inconvenience - but I don't mind a lil added effort so that everyone has the same fair access to the same info. Either way ---------- by midnight Tuesday everyone will be able to view top 5 in points for the Factory and Mods.................

I believe it is a conspiracy. I would have kicked some a## if you would have scored it the RIGHT way.

LOL. hey large man - I'm faster and more aerodynamic than your wings....................lol. joking even though it's true.

Did ARP finally losing knock a lil off his ego? Have you looked - he actually lost to Propps. JD caught me tryin to cheat. when I called he even hung up on me..................lol. Just goes to show how important every win is in either league. it's not just bragging rights - it's personal too. lol.

btw David Jones - our matchup is NEXT week - week 5 (4-18) - and you're going down buddy.

At SFS I think it means, Tough Tit Take it. On Tidbits, I think it means To The Top.

In other words, if you want to keep your Post at the top of the forum without a formal response all you have to do is type "ttt"

Dirt Bandits

The SFS website has updated track point standings. Saw it around 9pm. I don't know bout results. But I keep track of the majority of that so that I can have the fantasy leagues updated within 3 hours of the end of the race. But yeah man the track point standings are on the SFS website right now................
