ok I spoke with Bocat earlier - and think it's a dman fine idea to have this Unofficial league that just goes on a week by week basis. Because an odd # of teams could enter - there's really no need to have matchups. without a true schedule can't have matchups either.

we will do this and score it weekly. but every week it starts over. If there is 5 teams this week. then I will score each team individually and put together an unofficial league standings for that week. it wil start back over the next week. since it starts back over each week - there's no need for head-to-head matchups. for the unofficial league it will just be a week-by-week league that will start over again fresh every week. THIS HAS ABSOLUTELY NO BEARING ON THE OFFICIAL SFS FANTASY LEAGUE. That is the primary league. the official league is the real deal so to speak. but Bobcat, Dogwater, and myself were all 3 in favor of having some way for those outside the official league to play.

This OFFICIAL and UN-OFFICIAL Bullshit is starting to sound like "Lanny" is running is program.

It's a Fricken Fantasy League for Pete's sake. Pick your favorite Driver each week and see who wins. The back-up driver deal was a good idea.

You Guy's are trying to make this to hard to keep up with, low points wins the hand, and so forth.

Apparently, you have never heard the term "KISS" it simply means "Keep It Simple Stupid"

FINALLY, Uncle cracker makes some sense. I am all for this deal. Let's pick some drivers and see who wins.

The Official - Unofficial talk was stated so that it remains known that the main focus is still the Official series. lol damn it unc - now you make me feel silly saying that. Look man I don't think this is complicated. The Official League is the main deal. the unofficial was put together so that folks like ARP and others who mentioned wanting to play but didn;t get entered in time could. we wanted them to be able to still play man. There's no need for you to be confused unc - I'm the one who has to score both leagues - and just like the Official league - when you see the end product it will make more sense.

nothing about the unofficial league carries over week by week. whoever wants to can pick - and there will be a winner each week - and then it starts over the following week. Ya'll already know how the main series works - I keep track of all weekly matchups in a league format. we were lookin for a way to have others play - while still keeping the Official league the main focus. I think we have kept this very simple. We have worked out ways to consolidate information for both these leagues down to just 1 weekly thread for each league. but Unc I/we appreciate the feedback. it's a valuable thing to have. NOW as far as this being like a promoter (lanny) - well lol - no money is involved and we are trying to keep it fair so..................I think we've set ourselves apart from ANY promoter pretty damn well................LOL.

What if some of the better players switch from the official to the un-official league next season. Will this hurt the official league by seeing pick counts dwindle, and what about the points fund? If you win the official league when the better players are absent will there be an * next to your name? I see this shaping up like the world of outlaws/ NST split. LOL

that was good jest man. lol. no by all rights why would anyone want to not play in the official league. It's the main league and it has an entire season as well as playoff. It determines who picked the best for an entire season - we probably won't even do this weekly deal next year. I personally don't think we will need it next year. By all means when the deadline gets set next year - I would bet not many teams miss it. This year they did because many folks didn't even hear about it until during the spring nationals.

naw this is just something to have so that those folks ain't left out. This is the first time we've done anything like this - and everyone can see that. not everything is set up perfect. but I also think we've done pretty well - and espcially done it the most fair way possible. For the 16 teams in the Official League - pick here if you want - but that Official League should always be your first focus. In fact, this league was created for the sole purpose of everyone outside the official league. I myself will only play in it rarely - I am hoping that a few folks outside the official league will play in this every week. Thats what it was created for. I don't think it would be the best idea for official teams to play in this EVERY SINGLE WEEK. just here and there whenever they feel the need for that extra lil bit of fantasy -- lol. yeah that's dirty.
