Outragious to charge CHILDREN, 11 years and under, any amount to attend a race that is not a Premier event.  And to charge a 12 year old an adult fee is even more outragious.

Cheroger- I've replied to a multitude of your posts on this very exact subject, politely and with the track's reasonings, over the years. And unless you're sending the same message out to all of the other tracks and sanctioning bodies doing the exact same thing over and over all season long, I'm done answering your posts. There are literally 100 race events a week in this country with the same pricing policies. Nearly every event on this planet has ticket prices for kids, whether it be a stick and ball sport, race track, movie theater; etc. Heck, movie tickets charge for any age - if they sit in their own seat. But on a personal note $7.50/night for advance kids tickets and no ticketing fee is cheap for this event.

In all due respect, it's my opinion that your response is misleading.  Information that I have researched from various successful tracks websites concerning ticket prices at their tracks follows;

Devils Bowl:  A well established track charges, including nationa events, 12 & under free, 12-15 a student discount.

Lucos Oil:  ASCS, another established and popular track, 5 & under free, 6-15, $5.

Creek County:  ASCS races, 10 & under free, 11-14, $6

Port Royal: Including ASCOF,  a premier well established track in the heart of sprint car country, 12 & under free, 13-18 $10.

Williams Grove: Including ASCOF, another premier established track in the heart of sprint car country, 12 & under free, 13-20, $10-$20

Lincoln:  Including ASCOF, another established track in the heart of sprint car country, 11 & under free, students $10

Perris Speedway, Ca: Including CRA, most likely the premier dirt track in California, 11 & under free, 6-12 $5

Generaly speaking, events like the Chili Bowl and most WoO events do not have discounted tickets for anyone but most others due, including no charge for the youngest children.

I'm not sure where the 100 tracks ar at that charge admissions for kids, the same as this Bandit event, but the tracks that I have listed are some of the most successful and profitable tracks in the country.  Their policies for charging reasonable prices for students and not charge for the 11 and under kids is why they continue to grow the fanbase that is already established by these policies.

By the way, I have been to all the above tracks and many more.  I became a fan at a very young age because as a child my brother and I got in free, along with a Dad who paid but couldn't have afforded to pay extra for us Kids.

Simple solution here dude, if you're so insulted by the ticket prices don't go.

Nothing outrageous or wrong with what the track is doing in terms of ticket pricing for kids

Personally, I just think over time it hurts their business plan.  Mom and Dad trying to decide whether or not to go to the races... well if we we bring the three kids, we are looking at 80 bucks just in tickets and that doesn't count for concessions.  Some will decide not to go.  The other thought is make kids 12 and under free.  More families will come and you will more than make up the loss in kids ticket sales with the concession revenue you otherwise wouldn't have had.  Cheroger research is right that there's a ton of tracks out there where 12 and under is free

Again, nothing outrageous or wrong with what the track is doing in terms of ticket pricing for kids, I just think in the long run they will create more fans and make more money.

Not insulted, just pointing out that charging kids and not offering a discount for students, has an effect on the future fan base.  As for adult pricing, I have no problem as I attend without any question the admission charge.  I was at the Bandit show at TMS last spring and most likely will be back for the one in October.  I have been to countless shows over the past 60+ years and by far the most successful tracks are those that don't charge for kids under 12 and offer a discount or family package for the teenagers.

While we're waiting for tomorrow's Bandits Outlaw Fall Nationals at KENNEDALE SPEEDWAY PARK, here's some updates for the $50,000 Bandits Outlaw Sprint Series TEXAS THROWBACK at Texas Motor Speedway's Texas Dirt Track – During NASCAR Playoffs Weekend!

-We've had a handful of drivers stating their intent of creating a NASCAR Throwback design for their cars and are going after the $5,000 winner's prize! It should be really cool to see the creativity of those teams and what they come up with for a design! The top 3 fan-voted teams will receive $5,000 - $1,000 and $500. Details are further down in this post.

-Driver entries are rolling in from throughout the weekend, and if you've yet to enter and are planning on going, you can get entered at: https://texasthrowback.simpletix.com/ and there are no processing fees...and FANS can purchase tickets at the same link - FEE FREE!

-With the sun setting just prior to hot laps nightly (7pm), and more seasonable temps, this should make for even more racy track conditions than when we were there in June - and they were great then - I can only imagine how exciting this event is going to be!
