Brian Brown has let Chad Morgan go and has hired uncle Danny to turn the wrenches.

Hope Brian doesn't end up regretting this decision.

That's a big move. Brown has lost his edge this year. Time will tell if this is it or if it is him.

Interesting. I can't say I'm surprised though.
How long has Chad the crew chief? It's been more than five or six years, right?

I kinda wonder what kind of memories this brings up when they go to the Knoxville Nationals.

He's the reigning Knoxville Points champion. He drives the #21 Casey's General Store sponsored 410 sprint car. He's also a favorite target of the boo-birds on Hoseheads.

Chad's been with Brian over 12 years.
Hope he can get along better with his uncle than he did quite a few years ago at the Nats, wink wink.

Unacceptable Johnny. Also, surprised you didn't question why he put any info at all in the original post...................could have just pasted the link with no other info.

Slight decline for a few years but still owned Knoxville each year. He won one outlaw race there and about every weekly show there about two years ago. 2 weeks back when he can't run down Justin Henderson at all and had plenty of laps to do so the writing was on the wall. He has dropped quite a few weekly races to invaders and such this year. He just does not have that edge even at Knoxville any more and that started this year.

Danny and George have a lot of knowledge.Danny was still capable of winning races when He became crew cheif for Mason. When I see some of the moves Sweet Logan,Maceno,Sheldon make in traffic that could be the slight edge they have.Danny could probably still wheel one and wish them the best.Working with family can go both ways. The equiptment isnt the missing link They are a top 10 team even though not following WOO.Being a team owner also adds some issues that guys like Sweet,Schatz,Sheldon and others thats main focus is winning.

Fair point. I think it's a change that's long overdue, remains to be seen if the Dude is the answer.

The question isn't "if" Brownie and Danny will have a blow-up. It is "when" and hopefully Brownie has a plan for that day. Based on his performance this year, why not give this a try?
