DIRTVision Launches Platinum FAST PASS Annual Subscription

The $299/year would equate to $24.92/mmonth

You really can't complain anymore, at the time last year I was paying 299 for a speedshift sub, 150 for a flo sub, 40 a month for dv and 150 to watch the chili bowl week and paying to have to get knoxville for the week, with the 360 nationals I think it was 210 for all 7 nights and the cappy, so literally 1 year later I can get it all for less then half I was paying in 2019 and begging of 2020, it was about $1290 in 2019 for it all and now you can get everything for $450, just amazing, there really can be no complaining for how much better it has got, shit, come 2022 I'll be upset if it doesn't get cheaper

Can't complain at all but, I'm sure someone on here will figure out how to do so.

From reading their tweets, the $39/month option is still available so that's good as well.

Great move on DV's part. Not sure how I feel about shelling out $450 annually for racing but we're going to find out!

I just get it for the Knoxville weekly shows.  Last year Floracing and Dirtvision were more than I could handle.  There are dead spots between Florida and when they really get going around may as well as after the World Finals.  This year I am going to have to watch Bristol so I may have to start earlier.  The year is still a bit too much to get past my accountant.

Now that we can get DV for $299 and Flo for $150, it is less than what DV was for the entire year by itself.  ($39x12=$468)   I would rather there be a "contract" for monthly deduction for an entire year, but hard to turn them down for that cost.   I will be getting both.

OK, here's the gripe you wanted.  I used to get the DV monthly pass for about 5 months or $200.  Now that the annual DV subscription is only another $100, how can I not get it?  Yup, just cost me another $100.   And my beer budget will be going up as I watch more races.

I'm joking.......

I am not sure if anybody else noticed, but it also says that with the $299 annual deal, you WILL get the Knoxville Nationals, whereas with the monthly, you will not. That is another (what used to be at least $100 for the full nationals week) savings if you go with the annual (Platinum) package. Makes it even sweeter. And Even if there is only 10 real months of action, that still would be $390 in the past if you were starting your FastPass in February at Florida and killing it after the World Finals (which I did).

Yep.  I keep a pretty accurate spreadsheet for my yearly budget.  In 2020 I spent $819.

In 2021, I will spend

* MAVTVPlus - $100 (Lucas Oil Late Models)
* DirtVision - $299 (WoO + Knoxville)
* Flo - $150

$549 for this year.  A $270 savings.  Count me in.  (of course I just bought the half-year pass from DV in December, too.  But, I kinda don't mind since I'll renew the yearly in July instead of January.

A friend of mine that was one of the legacy LucasTV subscribers (as was I) said he got his bill for this year and said they went up on us from our "grandfathered in" subscriptions of $59 to $100. If that is the case, I may pass on that one this year. I am subscribed through May. After that, I may just stick to dirtvision and FLO, there is plenty there to watch.

My wife pays the bills and doesn't get sticker shock from my annual Floracing renewal or $39 per (short) month for four or five months of DV during the Knoxville season.  I like being able to watch their swing through the upper Midwest as well (River Cities is a must see).  The total cost for both Flo and DV would come to around $450 and when I add the one time amount for the final night of the Nationals I'm only about $50 off the cost of both for the year.  I am sure that I'll get the bug and reach for the CC earlier this year with the Bristol races but man, that $299 won't sit well all in one big chunk like that.

Any suggestions how I can sell that to my "accountant"?  wink

Sounds like maybe you need to start on a few "honey-do's" to earn a few coupons with which to pay your racing bill!

To handle an increase in the beer budget just do what I did.   I sold my body to science...fiction... ;-)

From the new mavtvplus.com

I have been a subscriber since the beginning. Will I be able to keep my existing subscription pricing?

We sincerely appreciate our customer’s support. We wouldn’t be here without you.

We will thank you for your loyalty by honoring the subscription price that you paid during sign up. You will keep your existing subscription rate as long as your account remains active. If you cancel your account or your account expires due to failed payment then you will lose your previous subscription rate and will be charged the current rates if you decide to sign up again.

It's not just the $399 for Dirtvision, it's having to frame my request around a new guitar and a bunch of effects pedals.  The prices on those things leave the cost of Dirtvision literally in the dust.  I will be starting out at a disadvantage.  wink

I'd say you need to find a friend nearby with DV and mooch off of them.  Your music habit is worse than your racing habit!

Yep, the music gear can get kind of pricy but I like it.
