(This is indirectly related to sprint car racing---If you don't like it, please scroll to the next thread)

digs, FORD97, and Johnny Utah's debate on another thread about Yuengling got me thinking:   What are some of your favorite bars and/or micro-breweries to visit around sprint car tracks you frequent during the year?   I'll start:

In Knoxville, obviously I love the Peacetree Brewing Co. and Dingus.  But, if you get a chance to run to Pella, there is a bar there called The Peanut Pub.  My wife and I stopped there in October while in the area.  It is one of our favorite bars anywhere.  If you go, make sure to go all the way to the back of the bar and sit in the Garage Bar in the alley.  Very cool joint.  Also, there is an upstairs bar and rooftop bar that is a must stop called The Butcher's Brewhaus.

As far as my favorite micro-brews, I have a lot of them close to home.  However, not a lot of sprint car action here.  But, north of me, if you are ever traveling to Angell Park Speedway or Beaver Dam Raceway from the south and/or west, plan some stops at 3 of my favorite micro-brews:  The Hop Garden Brewery and Taproom in tiny little Paoli, WI is a hidden gem,  New Glarus Brewing Co. in New Glarus, WI is a must-stop, beautiful brewery, and Wisconsin Brewing Co. in Verona, WI is also very good.

If the outlaws get to run Dubuque this year without a rainout, you could head right from Dubuque to Beaver Dam and pass through all of the above listed micro-breweries.  While in Dubuque, don't miss Dimensional Brewing Company, 7-Hills Brewing Company, and Backpocket Brewing.   And my favorite bar in Dubuque is Lot One.
