This is the worst timeline.

The brightside is that there will be a three night World of Outlaws show taking place on the August 13-15, 2020 in place of the Nationals.

3 day show, $50k to win finale, max of 7,000 in stands. Pretty good money for the times. This is what I thought Eldora would do, but Iowa is allowing more people in the stands than Ohio.

Looks like they are making the best out of a bad situation. If they are only allowed 7000ppl in the stands having a 3day show for $50k to win is a pretty good consolation considering there could be no racing at all. I hope I can get one of the 7000 tickets but at least now there is some closure and people can start making plans.

Just under 1/3 capacity sounds pretty good, better than 1/2.  It's good for the people who planned to go as they will get to see some good racing, and it's good for the people who planned not to go, as they will not be forced to miss the Nationals.  A very good compromise when faced with a very tough decision.  Thanks, Knoxville.

Wonder if the 360 nationals will go on yet? If osky goes you still could have 8 mights of racing.

Then lets head north and have Husets start up with a 3 day show, ya never know could be alot of racing in a couple week period

Got to figure since majority of people already have travel plans to Knoxville they will sell out those 7,000 seats per night in a heartbeat. Got to figure majority of the teams will still come as it looks to be a good payout for the finale at 50k to with and 3k to start. I give credit to Knoxville for still putting on a event.

How does PA allow fans to pack into grandstands still then?

That's a good question. All of our counties are "green" but green doesn't mean anything goes. There are still crowd limits and social distancing guidelines in place and they are still being followed by pretty much every business except the dirt tracks. I think the tracks just decided to say screw it, we aren't enforcing any of that and so far the state has let it go.

My opinion on the Osky Challenges is that they need to follow the lead of Knoxville & have some social distancing rules too. I have decided not to go to Osky this year after being a regular attendee for more than 15 years because as much as I love sprint car racing (plus being in my 70s); it is NOT worth the chance of dying to attend this year.

I think dirt tracks have been able to fall under "outdoor activities" no different than say your local park which allows them a lot more freedom compared to businesses and whatnot. The problem with Eldora and Knoxville is they are massive venues so they gotta be considered with the large stadiums, concert venues etc.

I mean you can just not go. Whatever happened to personal responsibility? It's not like no one is aware this virus is out there and the promoters are hiding it or something. Everyone knows going out is a risk of catching the virus, just like going to McDonald's increases your likelihood of developing heart disease.

4-5k. Pretty well full except maybe a few lower rows in the open air stands most years. Weekly racing there has been status quo so far this year. Crowd size has been pretty good so far for their weekly shows but car count not so much. Racing tonight if it would stop raining for once. Maybe someone from Knoxville will take off the wing to run the wingless tonight to collect the bounty on Jonathan Hughes. Shouldn't be that hard. Hoping for more than 10 sprints :/

Knoxville and Eldora are kind of in their own league, I would assume Charlotte Dirt Trac would also be in that league. They attract huge crowds that also attract alot of attention from the local governments.

Knoxville's 7,000 capacity in this pandemic is larger than 95% of the dirt tracks in the US, including most in PA.

My 41 year streak has come to an end......Not sure why they couldn't just have an abbrevated Nationals over those same three days rather than cancelling.

Osky is cramped if you sit in the stands. Seats marked off for ass width they all had in the 30's, not to mention your knees are under the armpits of the person in front of you. Buy top row tickets you can stand up!!! Here's a radical thought, get McCarl to work out a deal with Knoxville to hold the Front Row and Ulimate Challenge there this year. Overhead goes way up but the ticket sales go way up too. That way the people coming from the west going to Osky can avoid the speed traps on Highway 92 for a couple of nights.
